Lucian strolled away from the small child, who was still gazing at the gold coins he'd given him. He could feel the child's confusion, surprise, and perhaps a little awe in his eyes.
His older brother, Julian Hale, had truly cultivated a good image among the people as the next potential ruler. If Lucian wanted to move freely without attracting unwanted attention, using Julian's name might not be a bad idea. Besides, the child didn't seem to hesitate at all when associating good deeds with Julian, as if it were customary for 'Young Master Julian' to share.
"Sorry, Julian. I'll be borrowing your name occasionally this time." He murmured softly, slipping one hand into his coat pocket.
