Early in the morning, Chantelle's sleep was broken by a phone ringing over and over.
Still half-asleep, she heard the sound coming from the nightstand beside her bed.
She had no choice but to stretch her hand out from under the blanket. With her eyes still closed, she answered the call.
"Sir, the car is ready. It's time to head to the company. All the directors are already waiting."
"Hello, who is this?"
"Uh… Mrs. Wilson?"
Chantelle was still groggy, but the moment she heard that voice, she snapped awake.
All traces of sleep vanished.
"Ashton?"
"I'm really sorry for disturbing you, Mrs. Wilson. I didn't know you were with Mr. Wilson…"
Chantelle could tell Ashton was blushing on the other end.
Before she could ask anything, he quickly hung up.
She froze for a second as the call ended.
Looking at the phone in her hand, she realized—it wasn't hers.
And the room around her didn't feel like hers either.
Did I sleepwalk again?
