Henry's POV
Like breakfast, for whatever reason, we again sat together with the remnants of the group from Deer World and Chelsea.
"Be careful about the skinny guy," Glasses Guy warned, pushing his glasses up and directly steering the topic back.
I remembered the skinny man from just now in the showers, looking underdeveloped but opening his mouth to speak and laugh about things that didn't concern him with gusto.
I tried to suppress the smile forming on my lips; this guy wouldn't have stood a chance against me even before I merged with the little shadow.
"Oh? Why the warning?" Kenny asked, looking curious.
Whatever. I closed my mouth to swallow the dismissive words I wanted to speak.
Anything that wiped the soulless look off Kenny's face was a good thing.
Besides last night being really difficult for him, though he didn't seem to remember, I found him making more and more expressions, sometimes seemingly having returned to his old self.
