Elijah wakes as the truck pulls up, "Where's Finn?"
"He escaped," Klaus scowled.
"But wasn't he daggered?" asked Kol, exiting the vehicle.
"It must have been Mother," Klaus reasoned.
"What now?" asked Rebekah.
"Get in the truck, I'll drive. I know where he lives," said Klaus ominously.
.
Underestimating Klaus's speed and strength, Finn realizes his hybrid status may be a bigger problem than he first thought, but he still has confidence in his own superior skills. Looking on the bright side, he is happy that Klaus's small win in forcing him to retreat will ensure his overconfidence in his ability to handle him in the future.
Taking out his phone while running, he calls Sage.
"Finn," answered Sage.
"Quickly tell me where you are," said Finn hurriedly.
"I just got back home. What's wrong?" asked Sage.
"I'll be there shortly. Pack everything important, we're leaving," said Finn.
"Consider it done," said Sage, trusting him explicitly.
Entering the building, he takes the elevator right as Klaus pulls up outside with the truck.
"This is the place," said Klaus, leading them in.
"Looks expensive, not at all Finn's style," Kol commented.
"What are you talking about? Finn has always carried himself like he was above others, and maybe Mother is here," said Rebekah.
"If she is, we'll find her," promised Klaus, strolling over to the clerks.
"I don't know, I always saw Finn as someone who wanted to be left alone," said Kol thoughtfully.
"Hi, how can we help you today?" asked one of the clerks.
Klaus leaned over, meeting their eyes, "Tell us where Finn Mikaelson resides."
"I'm sorry sir, but we cannot give out private information. We can however call him and let him know you're here," the clerk offered.
"They're on vervain, Finn must have spiked the water," Klaus grumbled.
"Smart," said Kol, ignoring Klaus's glare.
Klaus then sped around, snapping the neck of the second clerk before grabbing the first, pushing the sniveling runt's face towards the computer monitor, "Show me his room number or your next," he threatened.
Security, catching wind of what was happening, started walking over when Kol grinned, deciding he had free rein to indulge his baser instincts. Speeding towards them, he tore out one's heart, punched another's face into the back of his skull, and fed on the 3rd before spitting it out, confirming they were all on vervain.
Mass panic ensued as Elijah blocked the front door, taking out anyone who tried to flee.
"I'm sorry sir, I don't know why, but I can't seem to show you," said the clerk, unable to make his hands move in the desired way.
Frustrated beyond reason, Klaus smashes his head into the monitor and keyboard over and over again, blood splattering, until the wood beneath breaks.
"Feeling better?" asked Rebekah mockingly.
Sending her a glare, he composed himself. "It seems Finn, or most likely Mother, thought of everything, compelling them first," said Klaus, unwilling to believe Finn could be so devious.
"Yeah, even the guards are on vervain, probably everyone in the building. What do you want to do?" asked Kol, "Knowing Finn, he could be on any floor, even the first citing something like efficiency or some such crap, but if Mother's here she'll be at the top."
After considering it, Klaus tells them his plan: "Rebekah will guard the door, preventing anybody from escaping. You and Elijah will take the top and work your way down, while I start from the bottom and work my way up. Be sure to kill everybody; we don't know who owns what."
"Understood," said Elijah.
"Sure," replied Kol, not bothering to point out how Klaus didn't want to face Mother.
"Fine, but I better get a nice vacation after this and a new dress," said Rebekah.
"Oh, and don't forget he has the daggers," Klaus warned.
.
Rushing inside, Finn asked, "Do you have everything?"
"That I need, yes, and I even packed some of yours, but I don't know all of what you want," said Sage.
"I'll take care of it," said Finn, speeding by her.
"Finn, what's going on?" asked Sage.
"My siblings have found us," stated Finn.
"How?" asked Sage, eyes widened.
"Something about you and technology, do you know what they're talking about?" asked Finn.
"Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't think of it. They probably traced my phone or credit card," Sage said, feeling guilty.
"They can trace phones?" asked Finn, amazed at everything new humans could do.
"Yeah," answered Sage crestfallen.
"Well then, that's something else we need to figure out, so it's not all your fault. They could have found me the same way before my new phone," Finn offered to lift her mood.
Grabbing the suitcases, Finn made for the door, "Come on, we don't have a lot of time, they might already be here."
Upon opening the front door, they are greeted by the sight of the elevator door sliding open, revealing Kol and Elijah. The latter, who has often frequented various luxurious establishments, easily identified the private elevator leading to the top.
Everyone was temporarily shocked, and then Elijah stepped forward, "Finn don't…"
Kol snapped his neck from behind, "There now it's just us, let's make a…"
Dropping his suitcases and drawing the dagger, he rushed Kol, grabbing him by the neck and slamming him into the back of the elevator's wall, dagger poised over his heart, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't stab you and Elijah, and take you with us."
Kol gulped, wondering why no one would let him finish speaking first, "Because you don't want to be like Klaus," he said, only for Finn to slowly press the tip in.
"Wait, wait, wait," cried Kol desperately, "I have a plan to take out Klaus, but I need the dagger."
"Why should I trust you?" asked Finn.
"It's why I was daggered the last time. I was this close to achieving my goal of creating a dagger that would put him in a box like he puts us in. Please give me this one chance, I want Klaus put in a box as badly as you do," Kol begged.
Finn frowned, putting Klaus in a box could be cathartic. However, Kol was thinking too small; nothing short of their torturous demise would sate him now. Why should any of them get to sleep the years away after all the harm they've done?
On the other hand, it would be useful to finally have a weapon that could put Klaus down until he was ready to exact his revenge. Not to mention, he likely wouldn't be able to get away with all their bodies with Klaus lurking somewhere nearby in the shadows.
"Okay," said Finn, making his decision.
Kol grinned in relief, "Great, so can you put me down?"
He threw Kol out of the elevator, crashing into the cage, "Sage, let's go."
Grabbing all their luggage, she joined him inside.
"Wait, what about the dagger?" Kol called out as the elevator doors were closing.
Finn threw the dagger out, piercing Elijah's chest.
"Thanks! You won't regret it," yelled Kol as the elevator descended. Retrieving the weapon, "Finally, this time I'll succeed," said Kol, clutching the dagger tightly.
.
Entering the lobby, Rebekah flees the second she spots him.
Finn gritted his teeth, "Look at what these bastards have done," stepping over the bodies.
"Why'd you trust Kol?" asked Sage, recalling the blood on him and Elijah.
"It was worth the risk, now that I can no longer be daggered," said Finn offhandedly.
"What do you mean?" asked Sage, believing she had misheard.
"The daggers no longer work on me, where do you think I got that one from," said Finn casually, as the other four were securely locked away until he needed them.
"That's, that's amazing Finn!" Sage exclaimed happily, giving him a loving nudge and a peck on the cheek with her hands still full of luggage, "We have to celebrate."
"Let's just work on getting out of here first," said Finn, smiling. "Rebekah is likely warning Klaus as we speak."
"And then we celebrate," said Sage, not taking no for an answer. This was big news, now they could no longer be separated like that again.
"Yes, and then we celebrate," Finn agreed as they made their way to the parking garage, grabbing a couple of keys from the valet's office.
"Can you tell which car's these belong to?" asked Finn.
Sage pointed, "That one, and that one."
"Okay, I'll leave first and distract him, and then you can make your escape," said Finn, anticipating Klaus catching up to them, tossing her a key.
She shook her head, "No, Finn, let's leave together."
"We don't have time for this. I'll be fine. Remember, no daggers anymore. Stick to the plan and meet me at the warehouse," said Finn, giving a quick hug and a peck on the lips.
She reluctantly let him go and went to her car with the luggage.
Peeling out, he drives out of the garage as a blur comes from the side, smashing into him. Crushing the side and sending him rolling over, glass shattering.
"You didn't think you could actually escape from me, did you Finn," Klaus smirked, strolling over to the heavily damaged upside-down vehicle.
Klaus paused when he heard another car escaping. Pivoting around, he saw it speeding away, "No," he growled, taking a step towards it, ready to pursue, then thought better of it and spun back to check on the driver first.
Bending down, Klaus finds it empty, "No, no, NO!" he raged at being outsmarted and outplayed for the first time in his life. Slamming his fist into the car, further deforming its already broken frame.
