At the swordsmith's, Laziel walked out seven minutes later, only to find that Aurelia was nowhere to be seen.
In his eagerness to sharpen his sword, he hadn't thought twice and left her behind to go inside.
Inside, he lost track of time admiring the new swords being made.
Pressing a hand against his temple, he winced slightly. Indeed, it had been inconsiderate of him to leave her, and it was only right that she had left.
"Have you seen the Alpha?" A senior maid suddenly rushed out to ask.
His brows furrowed into a small frown. "He doesn't go missing. Why are you looking for him?"
She grimaced. "The Luna has just learned that Alpha Nyxara will only be staying for two days, so she's organized a dinner party for the Councilmen to greet her."
"Most of the Councilmen have already arrived, but Alpha Axton is nowhere to be found and Lyn Carmen is worried he won't arrive on time."
"I'm sure he'll…" Laziel started to say, but trailed off when a familiar voice filtered into his ears.
