In the residence, by the lake, Aurelia watched the girl's reaction for a while before sinking down beside her.
"You can't swim?"
The girl hummed and turned to her side, propping her head on one hand as she looked into Aurelia's face.
"Yes."
Aurelia frowned, turning to meet her eyes, "Then why jump in if you can't swim? If I wasn't here, you would've drowned."
Her lips stretched into a loop-sided smile as she sank back onto the ground.
"Back where I come from, they don't let me do many of the things I want. Including swimming."
"So I never learned how to swim. When I saw the body of water and no one here to stop me, I couldn't control myself and just fell right in. I guess I'm lucky you saw me. Speaking of you, you swim really well."
"I know Cinder Pack is a place with numerous personalities, but this is the first time in ages seeing someone swim that good."
