Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Druid Doctor Arrives

"Hadō #12: Fushibi! (Hidden Fire)!"

Glowing spirit particles shot out from her wand, forming a large net that shimmered faintly, covering the sky and the earth. Instantly, the giant rats trapped within it growled and clawed at the air, but they could not escape.

Meanwhile, Vivi floated down from the sky with incredible speed, her sword glinting in the dim light before cleaving the head of a skeleton sorcerer in a single clean stroke. Thick black blood sprayed, and the creature's body collapsed to the ground.

"Hadō #26: Kyokko! (Bent Light)!"

Explosion!

A wall of fire erupted from the ground, sweeping away the wave of rats in its path. The heat was so intense that the air trembled. The smell of burnt flesh filled the battlefield, accompanied by the heartbreaking screams of the creatures.

However, it didn't take long before more rats emerged from underground, crawling out of dark, seemingly endless holes.

"Just wait until the Lord of the White Sky finishes off the main monster. Once that man is done, all of this will disappear on its own."

The calm voice came from a bald man in a dark green robe. As he spoke, the man stomped his foot on the ground.

Crack!

The earth trembled, and instantly, a row of sharp wooden stakes shot up from below, impaling the giant rats that charged forward. Blood and organs splattered everywhere, creating a horrific scene.

Christine stared at the man warily. "Who are you?"

"A friend of the Lord of the White Sky. You can call me Doctor Druid."

With a seemingly lazy wave of his hand, Doctor Druid summoned another row of wooden poles. The stakes shot up from the ground like large spears, mercilessly piercing the bodies of the unfortunate creatures.

In a matter of seconds, fresh blood mixed with the earth, and the smell of death became increasingly pungent.

Christine covered her mouth, trying to suppress the nausea that churned in her stomach. Her breath was heavy, and her hands trembled as she tried to calm herself with a soul technique. "There are too many of them... we can't kill them all!"

Vivi, still standing beside Christine, merely chuckled and launched another wall of fire. "Relax. The Lord of the White Sky has called for reinforcements. We just need to hold on a little longer."

Outside the wall of vines, SHIELD agents were struggling hard against this threat.

Under the command of Victoria and Coulson, the SHIELD special forces had built a high platform and set up machine gun towers atop the vine wall. They fired bullets relentlessly at the horde of rats, trying to hinder the creatures' movements.

However, the results were truly disappointing.

Assault rifles, multi-barreled machine guns, flamethrowers, and even rockets—none of them were truly effective. The rats died, only to rise again. They continued to attack fearlessly, as if they didn't care how many times they were burned or shot.

Finally, a conclusion was reached.

Modern firearms are too limited in facing these creatures. If SHIELD wants to survive in battles like this in the future, they must find a more effective solution—weaponry specifically designed to confront supernatural threats like these.

Coulson, despite facing a challenging situation, remained optimistic. "This isn't without its benefits. At least we now know how tough these creatures are. We can reduce casualties in the future with better preparation."

Victoria glanced at Coulson with a skeptical look, then pointed to the three figures fighting on the battlefield. "Maybe we should ask them for advice?"

SHIELD had long been the authority in dealing with super-powered individuals. However, this time, they were up against a group far stronger than themselves. It was an uncomfortable experience for them.

Coulson shrugged. "If they're willing to cooperate, that's better for us."

Suddenly, a strange sound began to echo from the distance.

Buzz buzz buzz~~

The roar of machinery filled the air, mingling with another, even stranger sound...

The sound of hooves?

Coulson turned sharply. In Coulson's memory, a heavy motorcycle sped down a long road stretching into the distance.

Still without a rider!

But even stranger, right next to the riderless motorcycle, a wild horse appeared to be running at an unnatural speed. The horse's body was not like an ordinary horse—it seemed to be made of steel, with a metallic sheen reflecting the dim light under the gloomy sky.

The roar of the heavy locomotive thundered like a storm, deafening. Yet, the sound could not even drown out the pounding of the steel horse's hooves striking the ground with tremendous force.

In the blink of an eye, the riderless motorcycle and the horse without a rider surged forward, breaking through the defensive line with unstoppable momentum. The agents witnessing it reacted instantly, some raising their weapons, their fingers tense on the triggers.

Coulson shouted, "Don't move!"

There was something very unusual here. This was not just advanced technology or ordinary creatures—this had to be related to the Sorcerer or Lance. And they were not prepared to face these two mysterious entities approaching them.

In the next moment, the motorcycle and the strange horse leaped almost simultaneously, soaring over a wall of climbing plants that towered more than two meters high.

In the air, cracks appeared in the body of the heavy motorcycle. The sound of metal scraping echoed, like a mechanical symphony creating a destructive harmony. The metal of the vehicle shifted, twisted, and reconfigured itself. In seconds, the motorcycle transformed into a mechanical warrior over three meters tall.

The body of the motorcycle was red and black, with a shining golden crown atop its head. High-heeled boots supported slender legs, while a flowing fiery skirt on its back added an elegant yet deadly impression. On its arms, a large cannon thick as a bowl was ready to fire, while in its right hand, a massive red axe nearly three meters long created a terrifying silhouette—like a Valkyrie rising in the form of a war machine.

Upon landing, the Valkyrie raised its left arm. With a whirring sound, fire bombs ignited and shot toward the horde of giant rats.
