If Lance wanted to pull the monster again, he would have to drag the entire hill with him.
"Alright," Lance muttered, narrowing his eyes. "I will kill you here."
Lance's gaze swept around. The Adirondacks are divided into several zones, including recreational areas bustling with campgrounds, ski resorts, public beaches, and boating facilities. However, the part where Lance stood now was a wilderness almost untouched by civilization, an area that could only be reached on foot or horseback.
This is the perfect place to fight without restrictions!
"Hadō #11: Tsuzuri Raiden! (Lightning)!"
Lance clenched his fingers, feeling the flow of spiritual energy within his body. In an instant, Lance's spiritual pressure transformed into crackling electricity, striking along the chain of spirit particles still connected to the monster's body. Lightning surged quickly, crashing into the creature with enough force to melt steel.
However...
The monster did not react at all.
Lance squinted. The monster's resistance to lightning was far greater than he had anticipated. Much stronger than any other creatures Lance had faced.
"Hohohoho!!!"
A booming laugh filled the air. The monster, with its gigantic tentacles, pulled the chain of spirit particles with incredible force, dragging Lance down forcibly.
And at that moment—
A tremendous explosion of power struck from all directions. The monster's tentacles emerged from the shadows, surrounding Lance like a swarm of vicious bees attacking their prey.
Lance was trapped!
The monster began to shake its head wildly, swinging its tentacles back and forth. Each movement created large holes in the ground, destroying the surrounding landscape in an instant.
Explosions echoed one after another.
Lance was thrown back repeatedly, more than twenty times, before his body finally slammed hard against the ground. The small hills around him were flattened, leaving only scattered debris.
And then—
The monster swung its final tentacle upward, gathering strength, then brought it down like a meteor falling from the sky.
Boom!
The ground trembled violently. The poor little hill completely collapsed under the force of the brutal attack.
"Lance" lay amidst the rubble, momentarily silent.
Meanwhile, the monster let out a roar of victory.
"Ha-ha-ha!"
Its laughter was filled with savage glee, like an executioner who had just enjoyed a gruesome execution. Dark Young, this terrifying creature, swung its tentacles once more, destroying everything around it in a fit of rage.
Dark Young would not stop until this annoying human was reduced to mere dust!
Wow!
Wow!
Wow!
This monster had been suppressed for thousands of years, and now Dark Young was just having fun. With dozens of its soft tentacles, Dark Young crushed a pile of stones weighing over ten tons in various ways. The stones shattered, breaking into pieces as if they were mere toys in Dark Young's hands. As if wanting to release all the pent-up anger of millennia, Dark Young continued to destroy without pause.
However, amidst the fury, an annoyed voice echoed from behind Dark Young.
"Bastard, are you done?!"
...
...
...
As Lance flew with Dark Young, the previously collapsed Henderson Building slowly began to rise again, as if an invisible force was reassembling it.
Meanwhile, from the large hole that Dark Young had drilled, the Three Arts Sorcerers began to emerge, climbing out from the ancient temple hidden underground. Their eyes shone wildly, filled with hunger and madness. The panicked crowd immediately caught their attention—fresh meat and murky souls drove these sorcerers even crazier.
Explosion!
One of the sorcerers, a horned man in a tattered robe, roared with a hoarse voice. From the palm of his hand, a burst of magical energy exploded, shooting directly toward the screaming crowd.
"Bakudō #39: Enkōsen! (Circle Lock Fan)!"
Vivi, who was already prepared, jumped forward nimbly. Quickly, Vivi raised a large circular protective shield.
Explosion!
The shockwave of magic collided with her shield, creating a tremendous vibration that sent thick smoke sweeping in all directions. Vivi gritted her teeth, bracing against the impact of the attack with all her might. As she glanced back and shouted loudly, "Run!"
The warning was met with immediate panic.
"Run!"
"There's a monster!"
"Mom...!"
In truth, without being commanded, the American citizens, accustomed to various incidents and violence, were already well-trained in fleeing. They scattered without a second thought, trying to find shelter as far away as possible.
Amidst the chaos, Coulson arrived with a fully armed special forces team. Coulson's eyes immediately caught sight of Vivi, who now looked so different from before. Coulson then smirked slightly.
"Miss White Lantern, do you need our assistance?" Coulson asked.
"Don't call me Miss White Lantern. I'm Miss Rose," Vivi corrected sharply. "Please help evacuate the crowd. We will stop these three."
"Good."
Coulson quickly signaled to his team. As they moved, Coulson still managed to throw out another question.
"White Lantern... Miss Rose, do you know what the object that Mr. White Lantern just took actually is?"
"You can ask him yourself when that man returns. I don't have time to answer right now," Vivi replied with an annoyed tone. Controlling 'Bakudō #39: Enkōsen' had already drained Vivi's energy enough, and she didn't need any additional distractions.
Coulson let out a disappointed sigh. But he didn't waste any more time. Quickly, Coulson raised his special pistol and fired several shots at the three witches.
Unfortunately, none of the bullets penetrated them.
The bodies of the Three Arts Witches had been soaked in evil god energy for years, making them as hard as metal. Even with high-caliber weapons, they would only sustain minor scratches. Worse still, with dark energy continuously flowing, even if their bodies were destroyed, they could rise again in a matter of seconds.
"Rose!"
A booming voice echoed amidst the smoke and dust.
A flash of cold light shot through, racing towards Vivi.
A large sword—a two-handed sword!
It was the weapon used by one of the witches. The sword fell with a heavy clang in front of Vivi.
The previous underground battle had been won by Vivi and Christine. The Three Arts Witches had indeed been destroyed by their soul techniques, but as expected, they quickly revived due to the evil god energy.
