The Doctor's words were like a relief for me. No broken bones meant she would heal faster, and there would be less pain.
Once the doctor had left, I turned to her and solemnly said.
"I don't think it's advisable or even viable for you to travel in this condition."
I believe she was already on the edge, and hearing that she wouldn't be able to go made all the reasoning fly out the window.
Her face flushed with anger, and I braced myself for the incoming rage storm.
"That's what you wanted, right. I am sure you had been secretly hoping that something like this would happen so you could keep me prisoner here and not let me visit my family," she seethed in rage.
I stood closer to her and picked up the quilt, covering her body with it, not even reacting to what she had said.
Knowing her, it was so easy to see she was trying to instigate me, so I decided to choose silence and not even glance at her.
