I did not have a chance to think. I did not have a chance to stop. Qadira kissed me again, fiercer this time, and I responded with everything in me. The hunger in her touch, the heat of her body pressed against mine, it was too much. I could not tell where I ended and she began, the two of us tangled together like the world was made only for this moment. And then, without warning, she shifted. Her mouth left mine, but only for a second, just long enough for me to catch my breath.
I opened my eyes, dazed, and found her staring at me, her gaze darker, almost predatory.
"What are you—?"
Before I could finish the sentence, she was on me again, lips trailing down my neck with purpose, and I froze. I felt her warmth, the soft graze of her skin against mine, but it was the sharpness in her movements that made my blood run cold.
Her breath was a hot whisper against my skin.
