Minutes later, as Nancy and I sat with wine galsses in hand, my phone buzzed nonstop on the desk.
Nancy practically bounced in her seat, her eyes glowing with excitement. "Morana! Look!" she shrieked, holding up her phone like it was the Holy Grail. "The media is going crazy over you. They're calling you..." she paused dramatically, grinning wide, "a rising phoenix!"
I arched a brow, a small smile tugging at my lips. "A rising phoenix, huh?" I mused, tapping my nails against the ceramic of my coffee mug.
Nancy scrolled rapidly, her thumb flying across the screen. "Listen to these comments!" She cleared her throat theatrically.
