Chapter 188- Let Me Go
Logan's POV
"You really want to lie to me?"
Right here?
In front of Tyler?
Wow.
I laughed a little. It wasn't funny. Nothing about this moment was funny, but I couldn't help it. It was either laugh or scream.
"You really want to act like you're going to stand for me now… just because Tyler's here?" I said, my voice low but shaking with anger.
"You don't have to pretend," I added. "You don't have to act like you care. I already know the truth. I've known it for years."
He opened his mouth like he wanted to say something, but nothing came out. Just silence. Useless silence.
"If you're looking for someone to blame," I said, stepping closer, "blame me. Don't drag Tyler's dad into this. Don't tell Tyler's mom. Don't go around spreading things just because you're confused or embarrassed."
"If you want someone to throw under the bus, let it be me."
I said it flat. Cold. And still—he didn't respond.
