TYLER'S POV
"Uhm… uhm… umh," Logan stammered, his voice shaky as hell.
"I don't understand what you're talking about, Dad," he finally said, trying to act clueless.
Meanwhile, I was sweating like crazy. I could feel the sweat dripping down my back, soaking my shirt. My palms were wet. My legs? Shaky. I felt like sitting down right there on the floor and just crying.
If only that damn maid hadn't called Logan down earlier.
If she had just waited one more minute—just one!—he would have had time to freshen up, change his clothes, maybe cover up the smell. But no, she had to open her big mouth and say, "Your dad wants to see you immediately."
Why? Why now? Why so fast?
She caused this. She caused this whole mess that could've been avoided. Easily!
"F*ck," I muttered under my breath, teeth clenched. I couldn't even say anything louder. I was too shocked, too frozen, too messed up in the head to even move my lips properly.
