Chapter 190 - Chapter 190: It's your turn now

"It's your turn now." Xiao Tianyang halted his movements and glanced at Fei Xue with a faint smile.

After processing his earlier words, Fei Xue couldn't help but shiver—not due to the circumstances, but out of fear.

For some reason, the eyes that had once been filled with charm now radiated a fierce fighting spirit and an overwhelming aura.

Despite being a Soul King herself, while Xiao Tianyang was merely a Soul Ancestor, the gap between them was glaringly obvious...

"Alright, junior sister, we're no match for him. Let's admit defeat," Zhou Cheng said as he climbed out of the snowdrift, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

As he approached Xiao Tianyang, he clasped his fists and bowed slightly. "Greetings, senior brother."

"Not bad, junior brother. Your attitude is commendable," Xiao Tianyang nodded in satisfaction.

He then pulled out a booklet and handed it over. "This contains some of my cultivation insights. Feel free to use it."

Zhou Cheng was momentarily stunned but quickly regained his composure. He thanked Xiao Tianyang and accepted the booklet.

Glancing at the cover, he saw the words Dragon Elephant Wisdom Skill written in bold. Flipping through the pages, his eyes widened in surprise.

"Is this... a cultivation technique?!" Zhou Cheng exclaimed, looking up at Xiao Tianyang in astonishment.

While the Douluo Continent lacked cultivation methods like the Mysterious Heaven Skill or Nine Suns Divine Art, that didn't mean such techniques were entirely unknown.

In fact, during Miao Zhenshan's generation, the foundation for cultivating the body martial soul had already begun to take shape.

Although most of these methods were still incomplete and carried potential risks, they were undeniably a step ahead in the field of martial soul cultivation.

This booklet, however, was clearly more than just a collection of cultivation insights, as Xiao Tianyang had claimed. If it truly contained a cultivation technique, its value would be immense!

"You've guessed half of it," Xiao Tianyang replied with a smile. "This technique has nine levels in total, but this booklet only records the first three. It should be helpful to you, though not overwhelmingly so."

"Even so, this gift is incredibly precious," Zhou Cheng said, carefully storing the booklet away. He then bowed deeply, his expression serious. "Thank you, senior brother."

"You're welcome," Xiao Tianyang replied calmly, waving his hand dismissively.

To be honest, if this had been the complete version of the Dragon Elephant Prajna Technique, it would never have appeared in a second-level lottery.

However, the first three levels were modest enough to be won by Xiao Tianyang in one of his draws.

Through this, he had also discovered a unique feature of the system: if the reward was a martial arts technique, the method of imparting it could be modified before being instilled. In this case, it was presented as a book. Of course, this didn't apply to previous rewards.

"Senior brother, what about me?" Fei Xue chimed in, smiling as she approached Zhou Cheng, clearly hoping to benefit as well. Her primary interest, however, seemed to be the gift—or perhaps something else entirely.

"I'm not sure what to give you..." Xiao Tianyang mused, rubbing his chin.

"Is there really nothing to give?" Fei Xue blinked her beautiful eyes and suggested, "How about accompanying me to dinner tonight?"

"You want to go on a date with me?" Xiao Tianyang raised an eyebrow, amused. "That's fine, but I'll have to bring someone along."

Fei Xue's brow furrowed slightly as she glanced warily at Saber, who responded with a polite smile.

It was only then that Fei Xue noticed Saber's striking appearance and dignified, elegant demeanor, which rivaled—if not surpassed—her own.

In comparison, Fei Xue felt utterly outmatched.

This was understandable, though, given that Saber was the legendary King Arthur, while Fei Xue was merely a young girl with a more mature mindset.

When it came to presence and charisma, Saber clearly had the upper hand.

"Alright, enough of this. Let's not linger here," Miao Zhenshan interjected, walking over. "Let's head into the city first. I'll explain our next steps in detail."

"Understood," Xiao Tianyang said, waving to Saber. The group then made their way into the city, each lost in their own thoughts. Among them, two individuals stood out with particularly complex emotions.

One was Fei Xue, who found herself inexplicably hostile toward Saber yet unable to summon any real anger when face-to-face with her.

The other was Zhou Cheng, who was deeply engrossed in the handbook.

The content was so profound that he struggled to fully grasp it. Of course, he could always seek guidance from Miao Zhenshan later, but he didn't want to appear unprepared in front of his senior brother, Xiao Tianyang.

The group of five soon arrived at Miao Zhenshan's rented residence.

While not luxurious, it was far from shabby—spacious and well-equipped, with individual suites for everyone, along with a living room, kitchen, dining area, courtyard, and more.

One of the rooms had even been converted into a gym, filled with fitness equipment designed by Xiao Tianyang himself.

"Teacher, you're practically a wealthy man. Why not just buy a luxurious house instead of living in this modest corner?" Xiao Tianyang remarked as he surveyed the place, finally turning to Miao Zhenshan, who was seated by the fireplace.

"You make it sound so easy," Miao Zhenshan retorted, rolling his eyes. "Do you know how many generations it took for our family to accumulate the wealth we have today through managing the Heaven Dou Auction House? Not everyone can strike it rich by selling a cookbook like you."

"Well, it's just a small profit," Xiao Tianyang replied, scratching his head sheepishly.

Miao Zhenshan shook his head and sighed. "I must admit, your talent is exceptional, but your thick skin is even more impressive than I imagined."

"Teacher, you flatter me," Xiao Tianyang said, clasping his hands in mock humility. Of course, he only acknowledged the first half of the statement.

"By the way, where are the junior brother and junior sister? I don't see them," Xiao Tianyang suddenly asked.

"They went out to buy some things. They'll be back soon," Miao Zhenshan replied casually.

"At this hour? Only the hotels are still open, right?" Xiao Tianyang frowned.

"What's wrong? After waiting for you all night, can't we have a little supper?" Miao Zhenshan shot back, rolling his eyes.

"Of course not," Xiao Tianyang chuckled. "But have you forgotten about me?"

"I asked them to buy your share too..." Miao Zhenshan paused, then slapped his forehead. "Ah, I forgot we have the little culinary god here."

Xiao Tianyang spread his hands helplessly. "But they've already gone out to buy food..."

"What's the big deal? You cook your dishes, and they'll buy theirs. We'll just eat both," Miao Zhenshan said proudly, patting his chest. "Despite my age, my appetite is still as strong as ever!"

"Alright then," Xiao Tianyang said, no longer holding back. He headed toward the kitchen.

Saber, who had been reading a book nearby, closed it and stood up. "I'll help you," she said with a smile.
