Chapter 12 - welcome

Chapter 12

I was so shocked to see my friends all waiting outside to bid me goodbye for the last time, and for the second time in the public I had actually become emotional, the thing I felt in my heart I couldn't describe it, it looked like I was leaving my family behind, all the memories we had came back all at once and I felt overwhelmed.

Even my coach was there as well as my other team members, the looks on their faces were painful to watch and the way they had greeted me earlier almost made me tear up.

After finally being able to hold myself I bade them all good bye and reassured them that we would see again, as I was talking more people rushed out from the hallway, outside just to see me leave and it looked like the news had spread like wild fire, easily catching the attention of the whole school.

All activities seemed to paused as they all watch their beloved senior leave.

I could spot a lot of girls crying, and some others fainting for reasons I don't seem to care about, even some teachers looked sad, I never knew I had this much effect on this school.

I walked down to the car pacrked not too far away from where I stood ready to move at anytime, with just a bag at my back, as it seems like my body guard had already placed my luggages in the trunk of the car.

I was about to open the vehicle as I reached out to grab the handle of the door but the bodyguard who had been standing motionless at the side of the car watching my every move, beat me to it.

Bowing slightly like a servant paying his respect to his superior mostly royalty's, as he opened the door wide open for me to get in, I gave him a gentle nod in response to his greetings and turned back to look at the crowd, I never knew my leaving would have effect on the school at large, I spotted some of my friends and football team mates waving at me, I sighed loudly, gave a faint smile, waved back and hopped into the car.

The car wasn't that luxurious but had an air of superiority over other ordinary cars, that was because my dad didn't want to attract attention so I was asked to use this car to get to the airport, when I get to the airport another would be waiting for me, I didn't really care, all I cared about was going home to meet my family, that I have missed so much.

After settling in the car I gave my backpack to the bodyguard and he took it and went to place it along side my luggages in the trunk of the car, I took out my phone to check if I had any missed calls from home and surprisingly there was none yet, so I placed my phone back in my pants pocket, and I reached out to switch on the mini tab on the back seat in the car, trying to find something interesting to watch.

"You done with your fareware party", some one asked, and the person was besides me, a little close the other end of the car, I wasn't surprised cause I recognized that voice even without looking at the person.

"Mm", I wouldn't quite call it a farewell party but then again it looked like one, and he seemed so engrossed in using his phone that he didn't take his eyes off it when he spoke to me, so I didn't care to explain.

Just then the bodyguard got in the car,and then the driver started the car.

As the car moved towards the gate I could hear nothing from inside the car but I know they were all yelling good bye and waving at me, as I peered at them from the tinted glass.

Then I turned to Ryan who was by my side, he seemed oddly quiet and was concentrating solely on his phone and nothing else, like he didn't give a care in the world as he sat there.

"You seem really happy, aren't you afraid you wouldn't see your friends anymore", I asked quietly observing him, but he didn't show any form of emotion on his face.

"Why would I be when I know, I can always see them when ever I want", he said without even glancing at me but his phone.

Well I didn't bother to ask him, 'how', cause it seemed like he wasn't in the mood to chat so I just let him be, I sighed and then continued the video I was watching earlier on the tablet.

It was silent throughout the journey, mostly because the driver and the bodyguard who were at the front seats weren't allowed to chat while working, except when asked to.

This is one of my dad's many rules.

I was thinking about a lot of things and I didn't really focus on what I was watching and Ryan has been using his phone since I got into the car.

When we finally arrived at the airport, I sighed gladly in relief.

We came down and our luggages were taken care of by my bodyguard he was coming on the flight with us, but the driver wasn't, because he had to take the long route to the house with the car.

We had to wait to get checked in, but we first had lunch at the airport fastfood restaurant, which was in the airport, since Ryan couldn't stop complaining that he was starving.

While we ate the bodyguard stood outside waiting for us to get done with our lunch.

We finally got checked in and very soon we we were on the plane immediately Ryan lay his head on the chair, put an headset on his ears and slept off.

Me and Ryan were seating together while the bodyguard was behind us.

When we finally got there I had to wake Ryan three times before the foodie could get up and we left the place immediately we checked out, I could smell the familiar scent in the atmosphere one that always reminds me of home, when we got to the waiting area another car was waiting for us and this one was extravagant, and eye catching.

After getting in the car we left the airport and the car went really fast,.making heads turn only able to get a glimpse of the car before it disappears.

We arrived just in time and the gates were opened instantly, seems like they have been expecting our arrival
