As Chae-min soared through the voids of space, her mind wandered back to her sudden disappearance from Muhan's presence. She had been summoned by the Demi-god's secretary, Eun-ji, who had telepathically reminded her of the meeting with the Demi-god of the Leveling Realm. Chae-min had been running late, and her abrupt departure from Muhan's company had been unavoidable.
"I hope he didn't take that to heart," Chae-min thought to herself, a hint of concern flickering across her face.
As she approached the cosmic gate leading to the tower of the Demi-god, a demon standing guard at the left side of the gate jeered at her. "Aww, Chae-min, you're dead!"
Chae-min ignored the taunt and accelerated her pace, her movements becoming a blur as she teleported to the 1000th floor of the tower. The meeting room, where the Demi-god held court, was abuzz with the murmur of demons seated around the table.
As Chae-min entered, all eyes turned to her, and Eun-ji, the secretary, shouted, "You're five minutes late! What were you doing?"
Chae-min chuckled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Just playing with a human, a hot one at that…"
Eun-ji's expression darkened, her level 301 aura crackling with annoyance. "A human?" she spat.
The Demi-god, seated on the throne at the front of the room, raised a hand, and the room fell silent. His dark red aura pulsed with energy as he spoke, his voice low and commanding. "Silence!"
The demons froze, their eyes fixed on the Demi-god. Chae-min, however, stood tall, her gaze locked on the Demi-god's shrouded face.
The Demi-god's aura surged, his voice taking on a note of curiosity. "Human, you say… Who is this lowly human?"
Chae-min's response was immediate, her voice laced with respect. "He's not lowly, Your Excellency. He's the one who defeated your pawn, See-hoo. The one whose rampage was… short-lived."
The room held its breath, the demons exchanging uneasy glances. The Demi-god's aura pulsed with interest, his voice dripping with anticipation. The air was thick with tension, and Chae-min stood poised, awaiting the Demi-god's next move.
The Demi-god's voice echoed through the meeting room, "Oh, really?" Chae-min responded with a simple "yes," and the Demi-god nodded, "Let's leave him be for now." The meeting commenced, and the demons delved into the agenda, their discussions and debates filling the air.
Meanwhile, on the planet Xylophia-IV, Muhan and his fellow students prepared to depart. It had been a day since Muhan's brief encounter with the demon, and he couldn't shake the feeling that their meeting was far from over.
As the students boarded the Nano ship, Flux, the ship's AI core, announced through their comms, "All students, please board the ship." As students board the ship, Muhan's feminine classmates blushed as they looked at him, and he smiled, accustomed to the attention. However, his mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the demon.
Mi-cha, with a bright smile and charming voice, greeted Muhan as he was about to board the ship. "Good morning, Muhan," she said, placing her hand on his chest. Muhan smiled back, and together they walked hand in hand onto the ship.
As the Nano space ship took off, Flux announced, "All students, please fasten your seatbelts." Muhan and Mi-cha secured their seatbelts, and Mi-cha's thoughts turned to a secret she had been keeping from Muhan. She wanted to reveal to him that she was from the Pjeonjaeham sect, but her face flushed a deep shade of red as she struggled to find the words.
Just as she was about to confess, Ji-hoon tapped Muhan on the back, saying, "Hey there, Muhan… sorry, but could you excuse me for a moment? And sorry, Mi-cha, for stealing him now…" Mi-cha's face remained hidden as she replied, "It's okay, he can go." Muhan smiled apologetically at Mi-cha before following Ji-hoon, leaving Mi-cha to wonder when she would find the courage to reveal her secret.
As Muhan followed Ji-hoon, he couldn't help but wonder what his friend wanted to talk about. They walked to the ship's lounge, where Ji-hoon turned to Muhan with a serious expression.
"Hey, Muhan, I wanted to talk to you about something," Ji-hoon said, his voice low. "I've been noticing that you've been acting strange lately. You seem distant, and I'm worried about you."
Muhan raised an eyebrow, surprised by Ji-hoon's concern. "I'm fine, Ji-hoon. Just a little preoccupied, that's all."
Ji-hoon's eyes narrowed. "Preoccupied? With what? With Mi-cha? Because I know you don't spend a lot of time with your girl."
Muhan chuckled, shaking his head. "Ji-hoon, it's not like I've not been spending time with Mi-cha, but it's about a demon I ran into – a demon at level 300!"
Ji-hoon's expression changed from concern to surprise. "A level 300 demon? That's crazy! What happened?"
Muhan leaned in, his voice filled with excitement. "I was out on a training session when I sensed this powerful energy. I turned around, and there she was – a demon with an incredible aura. I've never seen anyone at that level before."
In Muhan's thoughts; "Sorry Ji-hoon but I have to lie"
Ji-hoon's eyes widened. "What did you do?"
Muhan's face lit up with a competitive grin. "I wanted to test my skills against hers, but she disappeared before we could even fight."
Just then, Flux's voice interrupted their conversation. "Attention, students. We're approaching our next destination. Please prepare for landing."
As the ship began its descent, Muhan's thoughts turned back to the demon and their unfinished battle. He was determined to find out more about her and her incredible power.
