"I'm so happy to know that you are okay." Selene said her head rested on Isolde's shoulder briefly before she let go.
Isolde smiled warmly but inside her, she felt stricken with a ton of guilt. She had been wanting to see Selene, to know how she was but she was only given the permission to do so today and it was because Alpha Zephyr wanted her to find out more about Selene just like Jareth.
The fact that Selene looked so warm and so happy to see her made her feel even worse. It was like she didn't deserve Selene's genuine warmth .
"I'm glad to see that you are alright too." Isolde said with a smile as she tried to iron out her thoughts. "I was worried about you."
"I'm fine." Selene smiled again and then she nodded leading Isolde to the bed.
"How are you able to visit me?" Selene asked curiously.
"I pleaded with Channe and she spoke to the Alpha." Isolde lied.
It was what she had been instructed to say, in case Selene wondered why she could come visiting freely.
