"My queen, you are here." A maid looked up startled, she had been cleaning the queen's chambers, she did not hear when Taryn had walked in.
"Yes, leave me." Taryn said briskly.
"Yes my queen." The maid bowed then she took her leave.
Taryn waited for the maid to close the door behind her before proceeding to her bed. She bent down and stretched her hand underneath it, she was searching for something. Her eyed brimmed in delight as her hand finally found what she was looking for.
She pulled out a chest, she sat on her bed and opened it up revealing a vast collection of gems and jewelry. Her eyes shone and glimmered beholding the spectacle.
She caressed the jewelry lovingly, she muttered inaudible words. She had been so engrossed in her act that she did not hear her son walk in.
