The pulsing of the portal loomed heavily over Zoey, the cold Mana blowing on her face and sending a fresh, but sombre breeze through her.
Celina, David, Lana, and everyone else stood behind her, looking at her as she was about to leave with a sense of loss befalling them all. Celina however, was impacted the most by this, as she felt her heart ache at the sight of her mentor and friend about to leave, realizing that she probably wouldn't see her again.
Zoey exhaled slowly, reflecting on her journey in the second trial with a bitter smile. She had never thought that she'd actually be one to lead others, protect others, and even provide for others. Her role as a mentor has been both fun and rewarding, something she knew that she would treasure.
The Hunters still referred to her as Miss, or Boss, which she found extremely endearing. Her journey in this world wasn't an easy one, especially at the end of the Trial, the enemies had pushed her to her limits.
