Lariette and Ruediger's drive home was smooth. The city was still alive as the weekend night began. Colorful neon lights flashed all over the city. The chilly night breeze did not stop the people from having fun.
Lariette kept talking about what she and Elsie had chatted about during the party. As Ruediger listened to her, chuckles occasionally slipped past his lips.
"Lettie, seems like you've gained a new friend," Ruediger pointed out, a grin tugging at his lips, "You've exchanged contacts with Elsie, right?"
"Yes!" Lariette nodded, proudly declaring the fact. Her eyes sparkled with joy as she quickly added, "I gonna invite her for an outing, hopefully soon. I'll ask Maddie if she wanna tag along too."
Lariette couldn't help but admire Elsie despite having only met the latter tonight. Humble, smart and charming.
Lariette had also witnessed the evident love between Elsie and Nathaniel as if the past five year of separation never happened.
