"Um!"
She tried to look away. Sawyer didn't add any follow-up questions as he concentrated on his food. He devoured the bread and slurped the mango juice, and made Jamie uneasy.
What felt like eternity should have only been thirty minutes.
He washed his mouth and then glanced at her.
"I'm not saying it's a bad thing. But I felt like it should have something to do with you. Because it was a desert- everything here feels like it's an abandoned part of the desert, so such trees shouldn't be able to grow here. And I think wherever you are, miracles follow."
Jamie didn't know that Sawyer had doubted using the plants before him, but now he was talking like he was completely certain that the plants were related to her. A good bluff is often when you are uncertain of its certainty.
"I don't know what you are talking about."
She wasn't going to tell him. The space can be known, but the space spirit was going to be a secret forever.
