He asked calmly.
"Hisss—"
The Ice Crystal Demon Snake beneath him let out a weak hiss. Its crimson, slender snake tongue flicked out, feebly striking Ronan's cheek.
As if it were answering him.
Ronan let the snake tongue hit him gently, his face showing no change in expression.
His lips moved slightly as he began to murmur Spells, biting the tip of his finger, and drawing a Mysterious Rune in the Void that he had drawn countless times before.
"...witnessed by the gods of contract and oath...master and servant recognized..."
Ronan uttered the final syllable, carelessly pressing the fully drawn rune towards the forehead of the nearly lifeless Ice Crystal Demon Snake below.
But the Contract Rune, built from blood and a sliver of soul power, could not seem to settle on the forehead of the Ice Crystal Demon Snake. They were as if being fiercely resisted by an invisible force.
