Dou Dou was initially on her way to find Duoduo, but halfway there, she spotted a duck flying in the sky.
To her great surprise, she changed course and started chasing after the duck.
Okay, duck is what she assumed it was, but in fact, it was a Qionghai Bittern, also known as a White-eared Night Heron.
This is a kind of bird that comes out at night.
Apart from the beak, it does indeed somewhat resemble a duck, so it's no surprise Dou Dou mistook it for one.
"Little duck, don't run away, I'll take you home," Dou Dou said.
The Qionghai Bittern was so scared by her that it kept changing directions and flight poses, but no matter what, it couldn't shake Dou Dou off, and eventually, it had to descend from the sky straight down to the ground.
But Dou Dou didn't plan to let it go; with a swirl of Yin Wind, she descended from the sky.
However, as soon as she landed, she froze, perplexed. How could this duck see her?
