Chapter 7 - Hidden Knowledge

'This is what they were talkin about… this knowledge of the fourth god.'

Currently, Hagan was confused by everything that had happened and he just wanted to go home and give his mom a hug.

'I wonder what she cooked toni-'

And now, reality had set in. Hagan sat upon the altar and cried. He didn't know for how long but it was enough time for him to cry himself to sleep on the cold stone of the altar.

When he awoke, he cried again. His tears were black in this place, reflecting off the image of nothing in his surroundings.

His black tears streamed down his face, onto the stone. They pooled and streamed uniformly down the side, probably never reaching another solid object, forever falling.

Later, Hagan had finished wallowing in sorrow… for now… and he looked around.

He didn't notice it before, but there was something all around him. Besides the darkness and the rubble of the ruins around him, ther was a presence. He was unable to tell what it was but he knew, he knew it was all around him and was looking at him, in him, and all around him. He sat up, a bit confused.

"The Realm of Sacrafice. Owned by the Moon God."

Hagan thought about the three gods from before.

"Their not actual gods, their byproducts of the gods. They didn't create this 'New Plain' either, it belongs to the Moon God and they are currently slumbering. The three byproducts are trying to siphon the Moon Gods power by invading this place."

As Hagan sat there, wondering where this knowledge came from, he heard something.

No, he didn't hear it, he saw it. Or perceived it. He wasn't sure, but he became aware of something one way or anther.

Something was confused, alerted, slightly elated, and… proud?

"Is… someone there?"

Somehow, he knew the answer to the question.

"Yes, someone is there…"

'What? I … I dont understand, how do I know any of this?'

"Who are you?"

Nothing around him changed but he knew things. Things that he shouldn't have been able to know.

He knew the beings feelings, the answers they were giving to his questions, and much more that was simply impossible to put into words.

"The Moon God."

Hagan laid back down and once again tried to process the things he had been told — or maybe he already knew them — he was unsure but he still tried to understand the impossible knowledge in his small mind.

"Why am I here?"

Now that was the other "gods" said turned out to be false, he was curious, even more so than before.

"To be my proxy… to restore me… to remember me."

Those words felt so ingrained in Hagan's heart that it felt like he always knew that, he simply needed to realize it. It was like a floodgate opened in his mind, knowledge flooded his brain, causing a searing headache. He clutched his head and screamed as loud as he could in the empty space.

It was ironic really, for the one meant to restore the Moon God to be writhing in pain while floating aimlessly in his Realm of Sacrifice.

A long while passed before the headache subsided and Hagan was able to form a coherent thought.

By then, there was so much that he felt, he felt the Moon God, his feelings, his thoughts, and it felt like he was able to perceive everything around him, even that which he could not see.

These new feelings, new senses, new thoughts, and the new knowledge weighed heavy on his mind, causing him to faint from the strain as it slowly, but not slow enough, invaded his head.
