"Don't let him get away with the gold!"
"Yeah, kill him!"
Running and panting, a younger boy was just nearing his limits for his weak legs.
The 3 men chasing him, all wielding weapons of some sort, were gaining on him.
His lungs felt like they were on the brink of explosion, and his knees creaked with each bend.
"I told you all...This gold belongs to me!"
The boy screamed out.
"Lies! You stole that!" One of the men retorted.
The boy was coming up an alley, his mind moving quicker than his legs.
He had to think of a way to get out of this.
The boy was your average guy.
He would sit in the back of the classroom, observing, working, and never talking.
But it wasn't because he didn't want to talk, he was prohibited.
..
[Hey, loser! Who told you to stare like that? Eyes down.]
A smack connected to his nape.
Jolting in fear, his eyes moved, and his mouth became a closed slit.
This was life, this was school.
But nobody in that classroom could've guessed what was about to happen.
**
In a blink, they appeared before the entity of brilliant light.
A hush fell over the classroom, they were too busy and concerned, just as the giant crowd of men and women alike.
Before they knew it, they stood on the grass of a world like no other.
And a giant tower soared up into the never-ending sky.
Being much skinnier than others, he struggled. His cowardly instincts restrict any and all movements.
He was robbed of all his gold and garments.
He found the man who robbed him, and he watched as he used his money to buy something in a trade with some other men.
Feeling as though the money still belonged to him, he stole from the men who received the gold.
And now, the chase was on.
***
The alley was twisty and littered.
He through things in the way of the men, maneuvering his body around the turns of the alley.
He looked down at his gold, smiling.
"I finally did it, I stood up for myself."
-Bam!
He collided with something, or someone, and fell backward on his behind.
He looked up, his gold scattered.
A dark-haired man stood, handsome and cold-looking.
'Who is he?... Is he with them? Oh no.'
The man was none other than Nathan.
"You..." Nathan said.
'This guy, he goes on to become the founder of the Saber guild. Why is he here? I never ran into him like this in my previous cycles.' Nathan thought.
"S-Sorry, sir, I'm just...in a hurry."
Reaching out his hand, "Don't sweat it, just look out next time."
The scuffling feet of the three angry men grew closer, and their ragged screams of anger did too.
"Oh no!" The young man exclaimed.
"What is it?" Asked Nathan.
"Well...those three are after me. You see, a guy stole my money, then gave it to those guys, then I kinda stole it back, now they want my head!"
Nathan then smirked, "I see."
'This is a good opportunity to gain a companion with extreme talent. He doesn't know it now, but he possesses the Mystic physique, called "The Perfect Body"...'
He trails off...
'He then forms the Saber Guild, the place of great sword talent, which was one of the top 5 guilds that ruled the tower. If I get him now, this life will be much more complete, yes?'
Moving forward, the young man stumbled to the side with worry.
"W-Wait, are you gonna...?"
"Yeah, I'm gonna fight them," Nathan said with a cocky tone.
The 3 men were now face to face.
"Who is this guy?... Move it! We're trying to get a hold of that bastard!" They pointed.
Nathan moved to block the younger male, "No can do," he told them.
"Then we're just gonna have to kick your ass too!"
Winding up a swing, it was painfully slow.
Nathan tilted his head to dodge it, grabbing the man's wrist before bending it.
He hurled his foot into the man's legs, a cruel snap sounding.
The other two men were frightened before joining in the fight together.
Nathan swiftly moved out of the way of the fists of both men before kicking both of them in the face with a triple kick.
All men were now on the ground, wailing and groveling.
Picking up the gold, Nathan turned, tossing the sack into the hands of the young man.
"T-Thank you...? Yes, thank you!" The younger male said with excitement and sincerity.
"Your name?"
"Huh?.."
"Your name," Nathan asked once more.
"Gryphon."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Nathan."
***
"So if you don't mind me asking...how did you do that back there? You know, that triple kick, and leg break!"
Nathan laughed in a breath, "Experience," he said simply.
Nathan and Gryphon were in a dark area, the mist of the pitch sending chills.
Gryphon was twisting and turning his head all over, staying alert.
"If I may ask, where are we going?"
"Don't ask questions, just watch," Nathan said with a smirk.
Striding ahead, Nathan made a swift turn to a brick wall of a building. He stood before him, gazing and touching it.
'What is he doing?...' Gryphon thought.
The sound of stone grinding stone reached Gryphon's ears.
He watched as the wall of brick turned, opening a passage of stairs down a dark hatch.
Nathan turned, "You coming?" As he moved down.
Gryphon gulped.
"Y-Yeah," he said as he hesitantly followed.
..
'This place holds [that] here. If anybody knew of it, they'd get a head start of at least a year. I'll say it now, but I didn't find out until my last regression cycle. A man accidentally found this passage, and found [It]. He went on to become the Heavenly Demon of the tower.'
Furthering his thought, 'One thing about regressions is that it's unpredictable. Though I can have knowledge on one thing, variables appear, and things change. For example..'
He looked at Gryphon.
"And now.. It's my turn."
It was a dimly lit room, a rugged manual rested on a table, with a wooden box the size of a fist just beside it.
"Cultivator Cheon's dragon pill of transcendence," Nathan said.
Grabbing it, he examined the pill in the box.
It was golden, and a mystic glimmer of red could be seen swirling.
(EX+)[Dragon Pill Of Transcendence]
[Description: Discard life, and transcend the plane.]
And just beside it...
(SSS+)[Sword Saint's Star Sword Art]
[Description: The blade is eternal.]
Nathan smirked before removing his shirt, "Well, shall I dig in?..."
