Darren's POV
I woke up, straining my eyes against the sunlight that snuck in through the window. I shielded my eyes with my arm, forcing my body to move. I sat up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. The sun was high overhead, so it was clearly noon.
It made sense since last night's activities ended near dawn. I looked to my left to see Janet sleeping peacefully like a baby sheep. Her breathing was steady, her palms folded under her head. I untied her after we showered, cuddling her to sleep.
I pushed myself off the bed, a mild headache making me stumble. I grabbed a bottle of water, draining it in seconds. The sun hit my naked body, painting my clear skin its glorious light. I walked to the bathroom, stretching my muscles on the way.
I turned the shower on, letting the cold water cover my skin. I ran my fingers through my hair, pulling the ends free.
"Fuck."
