Sophia felt the world around her swallowed by flashes of white light. When her senses returned, she found herself in a spotless room, white walls with no decorations, lit by a diffuse light that didn't seem to come from any specific source.
In front of her was a large screen that took up nearly the entire wall. The LCD display showed a colorful roulette wheel, still and waiting, as if awaiting a command.
Looking around, the blonde saw that the other members of her group had also been brought there. After exchanging quick glances with them, she stepped forward, approaching the screen.
At that moment, the image changed. A chibi-style animated girl appeared on the screen.
"Hello, players!" the little girl's voice echoed cheerfully. "Before the big game begins, you must go through a small luck test. So step forward and press the red button."
