Chapter 19 - Clarissa × Brandon

Clarissa

Out of boredom, I turned off the television in the room and went back to reading my book.

I am not going to lie but Brandon has great sense when it comes to books.

Almost on queue, Brandon entered the room.

"Clarissa, can we talk?"

I stayed quiet.

He strolled towards me and sat on the bed beside me.

"Clarissa, I am really sorry about last night, I didn't mean to hurt you, I just couldn't control my anger."

Then again, I stayed quiet.

"Clarissa, I promise this will never happen again...."

"Enough, look, I am not one to hold grudges and look, it's not my fault, we got succumbed into this mess and I know we are together and all but that doesn't mean I have to live by your every rule."

"This is not a choice Clarissa, it's for your own good."

So what, I'm trapped now?

I only stared at him.

"I've got something else."

What is it now?

"My sister, Bethany, will be visiting tomorrow and since we have to make our facade as real as can be, you have to move into my room."

"You have a sister?"

He nodded.

"Hold up,. Your sister will be visiting tomorrow and you are only telling me this now? We have so much to do."

He was only staring with a smirk on his face.

You forgot the last piece of information.

"Wait, I have to move in with you?"

"Yes."

No way. Not in a thousand years. I can't even stand it being rooms away and now I am going to be in the same room with him. Cathia would have to call for an autopsy in the next few days cause I might kill him.

"No..... I believe we can be rooms apart and no one's going to suspect a thing."

"This is my sister we are talking about here."

"We can just tell her we need some personal space?"

I watched on as his jaw clenched.

"Get up Clarissa."

"I am not moving."

I picked up my book to continue reading.

"I am not going to repeat myself."

No one said he was siren?

"I didn't ask you to."

Without another word, Brandon effortlessly picked me up over his shoulder

"Put me down! What in the world is wrong with you!?"

I hit his back a number of times but he didn't even move.

I gave up once he entered his room, locked the door and put me down.

"Are you for real?"

He just ignored me and went into another room.

I started banging the door continuously.

There must be some way to open it.

This is a Don's room, not a magic show.

Then an idea hit me.

"Open sesame?"

Seriously?

For the record, it was never open sesame, it's "open says me."

This would never had happened if you actually listened when your teacher in Kindergarten was reading "Alibaba and the forty thieves."

"You should give up already."

I turned to see Brandon seated in the bed.

When did he change?

"No."

I hit the door one more time.

Okay, I'm done.

I groaned and walked towards the bed.

I picked up a couple pillows and placed them on the bed.

"What are you doing?"

"I am creating a barrier so we don't come in contact with each other in the bed."

"You're not sleeping in my bed."

What in the world?

"So...so....where am I going to be sleeping?"

He pointed somewhere and I followed his gaze to a ....couch.

"It's quite comfortable."

He is not a gentleman.

I sighed and moved to the couch muttering incoherent words.

I finally settled in the couch and it struck me.

His room is GRAND.

It's way bigger than my old living room and bedroom combined and the colours were beautiful.

Sighing, I pulled out my storybook to reading and without getting through the first page, the lights went out.

"One more thing, the lights go out when I say so."
