Both Zaroth and Eldros found themselves standing before the large auction house at the center of the city.
Unlike before, now there were dozens of guards awaiting at the front with the emblem of the Outlaws at their shoulders.
"We would need to check you up for weapons," the tallest of them said.
Zaroth had anticipated this. He had already hidden his odachi, as well as Eldros' weapons, within Nightshade's shadow. So when the guards searched them, they found nothing and allowed them to pass.
Once inside, Zaroth wasn't surprised to see that the security was top-notch; there were dozens of guards at each corner, waiting to act if the need arose.
What was more surprising, however, was that unlike every other place that dealt with slaves, here there wasn't any kind of lingering smell.
'Did they use some kind of filters or something?' he wondered.
Deciding it wasn't worth it to pay it much mind, he motioned for Eldros to follow behind him.
