Chapter 83 - C83 - Facing Huo Jiang

Yin Kai continued to pound Caihong's sweet, lovable round ass for three days. Her moans continued to ring out through the guest house. Servants and cultivators alike either avoided the area like hell or ran racing into their lover's arms.

On the fourth day, a happy Yin Kai put on his sect garments and left his room. Seeing a waiting servant, he spoke. "I am ready to speak with the Supreme Elder."

The servant didn't respond.

Wiping a hand in front of his face, Yin Kai felt strange. 'What happened to him?' Shrugging his shoulders, he walked out of the pavilion and began to peruse the sect.

Wearing the sect talisman the elder had given him around his neck, Yin Kai quickly found the sect's Elder Hall.

With a broad smile, he began to look through the updated list of the sect's highest ranking members. 'Strange…. She's not on the rankings anymore…'

With a start, he continued looking through the sect's list of disciples, discerning which had certain skills, which had various special body constitutions, mastery of certain weapons, and their affiliated companion beasts.

Leaning over another book, he went through the list of the sect's most treasured items available for trade with sect points.

He also managed a glance at a list of available secret realms the sect had on standby.

Once he had flipped through all the pages, he thanked the elder managing the hall and left the building. Strumming up his energy, he walked over to the mission board and took a read of all the missions.

Looking at two of the missions near the top. The first was clear. "Bring a Phoenix to the Heavenly Phoenix Peak. Reward: Sect Contribution Points befitting the Young Sectmaster, and any five items from the sect treasury."

The second was like it. "Bring a true Dragon to the Celestial Dragon Peak. Reward: Any three items from the sect treasury, and nine more from a curated list."

Looking around the rest of the board, he found another mission. Tallying all three missions onto his sect token, he went for a walk around the sect.

Finding a vendor selling woodchuck kidneys on a stick, he paid the man, tossed a few in his mouth, and looked out over the cliff to see the sun set against the waters below.

The large Aether Wyrms curled against the river banks on either side. Using the water qi coalescing around their bodies, in a fountain of water they spewed rain onto the surrounding fields.

Watching the marvelous sight, Yin Kai heard a man crunch the grass to his right. Without turning his eyes, he responded.

"Elder, how can this Yin help the sect?"

A whitened man in heavy red and white robes responded, stroking his long, white goatee over and over again.

"The Martial Heaven Beast Sect has indeed invited you. However, a renowned Family has come to speak with you, and we must give them precedence. Have you heard of the Huo Family?"

"Yes."

"Good. Then you're aware. I, Rang Kang, the 1197th Sectmaster of the Martial Heaven Beast Sect, have invited you here with fully pure intentions."

"If fate fails you, I will hold myself responsible. But now we must meet with the Huo Family, lest both the Martial Beast Heaven Sect, the Martial Fist Temple, and all our loved ones gain a gruesome death."

Yin Kai became deathly silent. "Take me to them." He uttered, imperiously.

"As you wish."

Ran Kang took him to the sect's main hall. Gathered to the sides were different elders. At the end, a large table sat.

Ran Kang appeared at the throne facing the entrance. To the left of the table was a bald, round man in a golden tunic and a cloak made of fire-ape fur.

Two soldiers wearing barbarian furs and guards, crimson scarves and holding black spears with swirling purple lines donned his left and right.

Yin Kai stood before the table, eager for his chance at dominance.

"Do you know who I am, boy?"

"You're a member of the Huo Clan, right?"

"If I was just a member of the Huo Clan, boy, you wouldn't have the pleasure of seeing me." The man spat.

"My name is Huo Jiang. The same blood that runs through our Patriarch runs through my veins. My Father was his brother, and my mother was his mother's sister."

"So when you speak, boy, treat me with respect. Otherwise, you'll find yourself on the end of a one-sided deal."

Yin Kai looked at the man's greasy fingers. Undeterred, he spoke. "Esteemed Elder of the Huo Family, please forgive me."

Giving a bow, he continued. "Esteemed Elder Huo Jiang, the Light amongst your fellow peers. I happen to have something on my person that I found in a secret realm. I believe that this thing is worth more to the Huo Family than anything that has been mentioned to the Martial Beast Pavilion."

The bald man raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"Esteemed Elder, I ask that we continue this conversation in private. I know of the well-earned honor of the Bloodseeking Shadow Hall, and do not mind their presence."

"Ohoho! I see. Very well then. Let's see what you have. Ran Kang! Give us space!"

As the elders left the hall, he continued. "So you see the power of the Huo Family. Speak. Speak and be done with it."

Yin Kai turned and bowed to the two guardians of the Huo Bloodline. Ensuring that all external presences were gone, he spoke.

"Huo Jiang has broken a cardinal rule of the Huo Family. I, Huo Jai, son of Huo Tian, call Ran Jing and Jin Mo to bring him to the Sacred Hall and testify to the elders on my behalf. I will claim personal restitution from the Huo Family on the day of my return."

"Lest the Martial Heaven Beast Sect knows what happened here today, I have given Huo Jiang both a phoenix egg and a valuable personal gift to get him off my back."

"Yes, young master!"

Tying the stone-faced elder up, all three disappeared into the shadows.

After waiting a few minutes, Yin Kai shouted from his seat. "You may return!"

'Seriously though…'
