The elder raised his eyebrows. "That is admirable. But, to do so, you must first become our chief."
"I am aware. But I tell this to you so that you are prepared."
"I see. Are you aware of our traditions?"
"I am."
"The feast will be prepared in short order." The man turned to the stairwell. "This is my daughter, Mu Dan."
A lithe woman with long brown hair stepped from the shadows. "So you're the one."
As she spoke, the slow and pointed tones of her voice bespoke a noble upbringing.
"I am." Yin Kai responded.
"I see. I will prepare myself." Turning around, she lifted her dress and slowly drifted up the stairs.
Yin Kai turned to her father. "Can you walk me through the tribe's current state of affairs and needs?"
"En." The elder grunted. "Follow me."
Leaving the front of the house, he let out a small whistle. A large falcon the size of a small horse descended. Lowering its wing, it allowed the ancient elder to climb on its back.
The elder gestured to his house. "That is the chieftain's abode, as well as the place we control our affairs."
"This area is for housing. the falcons rest in the trees. We have sentry towers set throughout the forest and across the land."
"When in danger, the tribesman simply fly back to the village. We don't do well in ground fights, so we fly, shoot arrows, and drop things on those who fight against us."
"Good." Yin Kai replied. "Are there any shortages?"
"We are not short on food and shelter as we can take what we need from the nearby regions. However, because we are reluctant to fight with the surrounding tribes, we have less ore and other strategic resources."
"We can create our weapons from the feathers of our falcons and the wood from the trees around us."
"This," he gestured to a nearby facility, "is where we keep our newborn falcons."
Yin Kai peered in. There were several eggs along the walls, and ten or so baby falcons peered in from the dead foliage littering the floor.
"They're beautiful." He replied. The elder smiled.
He took them on a loop, pointing out the more skilled villagers as they passed.
After a short while, they arrived back at the chief's home. "If you'd like, I have a small library upstairs you can peruse while you wait."
"I'd like nothing more."
The chief gestured to one of the villagers, and Yin Kai was brought to a room near the top of the building. The floor walls were covered in literature.
As soon as he was alone, Yin Kai sent the books five at a time to the scribes in the small world. They quickly copied everything, and after about three hours he had completed the room.
Coincidentally, a villager walked in just at that time to lead him to the feast.
The scholarly elder was waiting for him at the head of the table.
"I present to you," the former chieftain spoke, "the new chieftain of our Falcon tribe. Does anyone have an objection to his leadership? If not, we will begin the ceremony."
The crowd stayed silent. Seeing Caihong perched on his shoulder, they knew intrinsically that they stood no chance.
"As that is so, I present my daughter, Mu Dan, with the first right as presented to her by our ancestors. May the new chief give to the tribe's future as they give to him their lifeblood."
Using his Dark Pheonix Constitution granted by his and Caihong's child, Yin Kai lessened his constitution to that of a Abyssal Steel Falcon's human form as he slowly stood up.
Taking his shirt off, he bared his hairy chest. "For the tribe, I give my strength."
As his pants fell, he spoke in a deep tone. "For the tribe, I give myself."
He sat back down in his chair at the head of the table. From behind him, a long haired beauty in a white sheer dress arrived, floating on the air.
As he stared at her, she dropped the thin strings of fabric holding her dress over he arms. As the dress fell to her side, she turned and looked at the giant pole in front of her.
Shivering, she licked her lips in delight before putting it in her mouth.
