Rachel Foster entered her office and saw Jasper Reed sitting on the sofa, waiting for her.
She wasn't surprised that Jasper was in her office so early, so when he stood up and looked at her seriously, she gave him a faint smile and said, "I'm fine."
Jasper walked over to her, somber, "He didn't give you a hard time?"
Rachel shook her head.
Jasper didn't believe her, his deep eyes fixed on hers.
"Really, I'm fine... Last night, he and I just discussed Jackson's issues."
"So, you agreed with him to maintain this marriage for the sake of the child?" Jasper's voice carried a rare hint of displeasure.
Rachel walked to her desk and set down her handbag, noticing that the lilies on her desk had been replaced with fresh ones.
Since she left with Kingsly this morning, she hasn't brought any lilies, yet someone sent them again today.
Seeing Rachel not responding and slightly dazed, Jasper followed her gaze to the bouquet of lilies, "What's wrong?"
