Blade, a hunter with both human and vampire blood.
His mother was bitten by a vampire just before giving birth to him. As a result, he inherited a vampire's powers without suffering from their weaknesses.
After being adopted by a vampire hunter, and growing up immersed in that world—along with the hatred of his mother's death—it was only natural that he became a vampire hunter himself, earning the infamous nickname: Blade.
Over the course of his long hunting career, he even gained a title of respect among vampires—the Daywalker.
Blade himself much preferred the name Daywalker.
Seeing a vampire charge at Coulson, Blade stepped forward decisively. Two large-caliber handguns appeared in his hands. As the barrels flared with blinding blue light, two silver bullets struck the advancing vampires, each leaving a clean bullet hole.
Whoosh!
In a single breath, both vampires disintegrated into ash.
"Learning something?" Blade asked with a smirk, glancing at Coulson. "You kill vampires with silver bullets."
Coulson nodded, quickly grasping the key point.
"But isn't that kind of... wasteful?"
Blade's expression froze. His raised grin sank into a bitter smile, as if he'd just found someone who truly understood him.
The bullets… were indeed wasteful.
Every time he finished a fight, if time allowed, he'd clean up the battlefield—searching the fallen vampires for money, diamonds, or other valuables to sell.
In all his years as a hunter, he'd slain countless vampires and collected plenty of loot, but he never seemed to have any money saved up.
All of it had gone into buying silver and garlic.
Blade was tired—soul tired. But seeing more vampires charging at him, he still fired off round after round, as if each bullet were made of pure cash.
The effect was devastating.
With the exception of a few rare vampires resistant to silver's corrosion, most of them turned into environmentally friendly dust as long as they were hit in a vital spot.
Roaring with fury, Blade charged into the horde without hesitation.
In that instant, the vampires—normally the hunters—became helpless sheep under Blade's merciless slaughter.
"It's the Daywalker!"
"Blade!"
The vampires screamed in panic, backing away as if they'd seen a monster.
A clear space quickly formed around Blade, creating a glaring void in the midst of the chaotic, densely packed battleground.
Nearby, Raven had just taken down a few vampires with practiced ease, but now found herself frustrated by the ones crawling back up from the ground. When she saw what was happening around Blade, she immediately rushed over to his position.
But just then, some vampires drew their weapons and aimed at Blade.
Raven's eyes twitched. She quickly veered off and ducked behind cover.
Blade rushed up to one of the vampires. Just as the bullets were about to fly, he grabbed the unfortunate creature and used him as a human shield. It was as if he were charging forward with a shield in hand—pushing directly into the enemy ranks.
As that "shield" finished serving its purpose, a gleaming blade tip suddenly pierced through its back.
A moment later, the vampire disintegrated into ash. Blade grinned darkly, his blade slicing in a silver arc that cut through several more vampires—turning them to dust.
"Heh."
He let out a cold chuckle, looking at the vampires who had abandoned their prey to focus solely on him. A flicker of excitement lit in his eyes.
Time for another glorious massacre.
Boom!
Just then, a figure dropped from above, smashing through the ceiling and landing squarely next to Raven.
The entire battlefield fell silent.
Raven looked at Mike with surprise and joy. "You're here."
"Yeah," Mike nodded.
The moment the call cut off, he had left the hotel.
He didn't know exactly where the nightclub named Blood Rose was, but finding Raven wasn't difficult.
With a quick scan of the area, Mike spotted Coulson hiding in the distance, staring at him with excitement.
Mike's expression darkened.
Well, well. Of course he's here.
This guy really is everywhere.
The Coulson Principle ought to be included in school textbooks.
Turning his gaze away, Mike looked at the tall man surrounded by vampires and instantly recognized him.
Blade.
So all these blood-covered things… they were vampires?
Mike had heard about vampires before, but like Raven, he had never actually seen one in person.
And now, suddenly, there were so many of them.
Lucky him.
"What are you staring at?" Blade shot him a sharp glance.
Mike gave a thumbs-up. "Cool."
"Good taste," Blade nodded in approval. Glancing up at the hole in the ceiling, his eyes gleamed. "Wanna compete?"
"Not interested," Mike replied flatly.
"Tch."
Blade scoffed, flipped his blade in his hand, and dove back into the fray. Chaos erupted once more.
Just then, Raven pointed toward one of the cages. "That's my target. Do me a favor—clean up this mess."
Mike nodded. He looked into the cage and saw several girls inside. One of them was clearly just a teenager.
His gaze grew cold.
A child…
Humans? As food?
Mike looked at the vampires and felt a surge of disgust, the kind of instinctive repulsion normal people feel when they see flies or mosquitoes.
Pure, visceral disgust—followed by the burning anger of seeing a child treated as livestock.
All of it silently morphed into a killing intent that simmered beneath the surface.
The next moment, a card appeared in Mike's hand.
Name: Lux, the Lady of Luminosity
Character Overview: A young and powerful light mage.
Note: Illuminate all enemies.
The card dissolved into glowing particles, and a translucent figure appeared behind Mike.
It was a beautiful young woman with long golden hair and a faint smile on her lips. She held a staff in her hand, golden light dancing across her form.
A moment later, the figure turned into beams of light and surged into Mike's body.
As the vampires charged toward them, radiant light began to gather in Mike's hand. A glowing orb of holy magic formed in his palm, emanating divine energy.
The rushing vampires screamed as the holy light bathed them. Their skin blackened and charred, then their bodies turned to ash and crumbled to the ground.
The light continued to intensify. The orb in Mike's hand floated upward like a miniature sun, settling in the center of the bloodstained dance floor and illuminating the cold, sinister space like broad daylight.
Blade froze for a second, then silently sheathed his sword.
So that's why he wasn't interested in a competition.
Because the moment he took action… it was over.
Tch.
An ability like that was a vampire's worst nightmare. Not a single one could resist it.
A hint of envy flickered in Blade's eyes.
Coulson smiled and muttered to himself, "Mike really is a lucky star."
Raven gazed at Mike, his body gently glowing, her eyes filled with admiration and awe.
The luminous orb burst silently, scattering twinkling fragments of light that swept across the entire room, then slowly drifted downward.
It was breathtakingly beautiful.
On the ground, only piles of ash remained.
