For several minutes, the silence of the interrogation room was my only company. Dull sounds from around the station reached my ears, and the bright light hanging from the ceiling made it hard to close my eyes.
"They really have no regard for me," I thought, as the minutes stretched and felt like they had gone far past ten.
"Idiots."
I could see them running around the station like headless chickens, searching for something that didn't exist, rooms and storage spaces being thoroughly checked.
Twice, an officer and Annie herself had come into the observation area, stopping behind the one-way window to check on me and my surroundings.
Echo!
"Ohh," I chuckled inwardly.
My latest 3d image showed they had brought over my impounded Camaro and were now going over it like roaches.
Frustration was clear on Annie's face. Try as she might, she couldn't stop herself from lashing out at me.
