Being at the conference with Edward being on the opposite end of the table as my opponent didn't hold the same emotions as it did before. Always I put pressure on myself to answer questions asked better than him because I wanted to prove how incompetent he was.
Then I would storm off once everything was done because he had kept his cool. Sometimes he got caught into my sticky web and would feed into the fire I had started which would cause widespread news. The whole rugby association always held their breaths when we played against each other.
It never ended with peace normally.
However now we couldn't stop giving each little glances on the opposite ends. Between us were our coaches and publicity managers. Due to us being captains we always had to talk and say whatever the PR team prepped us too.
It always felt like parrot work and it really was. I preferred it though. I was never good at public speaking.
