Veronica's POV
I heard it. And I saw it.
I heard Georgie's heartbeat—pounding fast. When I looked into his eyes, I saw something there, something—or rather, someone—catching his attention. I knew I had to trust him. But Georgie wasn't just any guy.
I followed his gaze to the far end of the hallway. Janna.
No.
I wasn't going to lose Georgie.
I looked up at his face, and in that moment, he snapped his gaze back to me. I didn't press him for answers—I just needed to trust him, at least for now.
It was a petty thing, but I wasn't about to let him slip away. If I asked too much, would he find me annoying? I didn't want that.
Instead, I held him tightly and kissed him again.
He responded instantly. I could feel the tension in his body, the heat between us.
I smiled, knowing that as long as he still wanted me, I wouldn't let him go.
"…You're Hard." I whispered.
"Sorry," he muttered, though the smirk on his face told me otherwise. "It's your fault," he murmured against my ear before pulling me even closer.
Say it, Georgie. Say you want me.
He smiled, eyes darkening as he took in my flushed face. I felt breathless, waiting for him to make a move.
Georgie held my gaze for a long moment, and I knew he felt it too.
"…We can't ditch class again…" he sighed. "Mom already warned me not to skip anymore…"
I groaned, exhaling in frustration. I couldn't push him, so I just sighed. "…Alright…"
Then he leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear as he whispered, "…I want to be a gentleman, but it's hard… I just want to push you against the wall, right here, right now, and do whatever I want with you… I'm sorry…" he finished, placing a lingering kiss on my forehead.
A shiver ran down my spine as I met his gaze, my body burning from the intensity of his words.
"…Can I Suck you…?" My voice was barely above a whisper.
Georgie's lips twitched at my suggestion, his reaction almost cute.
He didn't say a word. Instead, he grabbed my wrist and led me away.
I didn't resist. As long as no one interrupted us, I had no complaints.
Break time was still 20 minutes. That was enough, right?

Georgie's POV
I brought Veronica to my house.
Dang it. I skipped class again.
This succubus—smiling so innocently—refused to let me go, convinced that 20 minutes was enough to satisfy my needs.
What can I say? She seduced me.
So I fell into her trap, and she did exactly what she wanted to me.
"You little succubus." I muttered, recalling what had just happened.
I had taken her somewhere quiet, a place few students knew about. If you hung out with the right crowd, you'd learn about these spots. I used to play football, so, of course, I knew.
"What? You were the one who pulled me away," Veronica said, her innocent smile contradicting her mischief. "You could've said no and listened to your mom for once."
"You were seducing me! How was I supposed to resist?!" I shot back, faking annoyance.
Truthfully, I had enjoyed every second of it. I wouldn't complain. But I liked complaining, and I was good at it.
"Really?" Veronica smirked. "So all those moans… was that you disliking it? Maybe we should stop and just be a regular Christian couple?."
"Now, now, let's not make rash decisions." I said quickly, watching her victorious grin as she laughed.
She stopped laughing once we reached my house.
After what had just happened, I figured I owed her a proper date.
She was already in a great mood after that, so taking her out would make her even happier.
Later that evening, she invited me over, mentioning that her house was empty. Her mom was working, and her mom's boyfriend was nowhere to be found.
So we had the place to ourselves.
But I swear I didn't do anything.
Not for lack of temptation.
Veronica had a habit of teasing me, walking around in just a towel after her shower, casually passing by as if it were nothing. I held back, knowing if I didn't, we'd definitely be late for dinner with my family.
After what she did to me earlier, her behavior became even more daring. It was as if she had already crossed a line and didn't see the point in pretending anymore.
I swear if we had stayed there any longer, I would've broken.
I would've done exactly what I wasn't supposed to do before marriage.
I swear.
But luck was not on my side.
Veronica emerged, dressed stunningly, with light makeup that only highlighted her beauty. The sight alone was enough to distract me.
Just a little.
"Alright," Veronica sighed, looking at me. "Wait a minute."
I stepped out, opening the car door for her, offering my hand to help her out.
"You look beautiful," I murmured.
Veronica chuckled beside me. "That's the tenth time you've said that. But thanks."
"Don't worry. You don't have to be nervous. It's just a family dinner." I assured her. Then, I paused and looked at her seriously.
Veronica blinked. "What?"
"Like I said, it's just dinner. But in case there's some family drama, I hope it won't bother you too much. Just enjoy the meal." I said.
Veronica nodded, smiling. "Really? Every family has their quirks. And you have a lovely family, Georgie."
I saw it. The way she hid her sadness behind that smile.
I saw it.
"It's okay," I said, kissing her hand. "You don't have to feel awkward around my family. I know they'll accept you. And hey, remember—you've got Memaw on your side."
"That's reassuring," Veronica said as we approached my house.
I opened the door and called out, "Mom, I'm home! I brought Veronica with me!"
Mary, who was in the kitchen, and George, who had been watching TV, immediately turned their heads toward us.
Before they could react, Missy ran past them, straight to Veronica.
"Veronica!"
"Hey, Missy!" Veronica greeted, hugging her.
I could feel my parents staring at me.
Yeah. They were definitely staring.
Probably because I forgot to tell them I had invited Veronica for dinner.
But since she was within earshot, they couldn't say anything.
Yet.
