It has been four days since I arrived in this world, and many things have been happening in the past three days. The first one is that my points have arrived, and I now have 14 points to spend.
What do I spend my first points on? I buy the [Pocket Space] perk that acts as inventory for me. It is not big as it is only 1m x 1m x 3m. The second one is the [Body Tune-Up] talent. I take this to open the defenses section, which lets me take the [Body Defence] perk that gives me a high resistance against diseases, poisons, and radiation. If I buy this twice, I will gain immunity to those kinds of things. Sadly, I don't have enough points to buy one. I will put it away for now.
However, it is good for now. I will save the last four points for later.
I also learned that the Sacred Games will start in two weeks. What are Sacred Games? It is a fighting tournament where fighters will fight each other, and the last one standing will become the Lord Commander of Falena, also known as the Husband of the Queen.
This country does not have a king, and the queen is the highest authority in the country, with only the Lord Commander holding the second highest authority. Lord Commander is the one who takes care of the Queen's Knights, the highest order of knights in the country, and the army.
Anyway, before the main event that will be happening in Stormfist, located on the Eastern side of Falena, there will be a preliminary stage that will happen in this city. What does this mean? That means there are a lot of people in this place.
To make the information easier, I decided it was time for me to use my Noble Phantasm. It is a weaker version of the Shadow Clone from Naruto. The first downside is that I can only split myself into eighty, and some of them are not suitable as assassins.
The other downside is that each body does not have the same strength as the original, unlike how Shadow Clone is a perfect copy of the original.
The only downside of the Shadow Clone Technique is that each clone has less chakra and will be gone when someone lands a clean hit on them.
My Noble Phantasm, on the other hand, does not get destroyed in a single clean hit. They also have full access to the full capabilities of my skill. That means they can still use Presence Concealment at its maximum power and cast a spell at full power if I know one. The first ten clones will have their stats reduced by one rank. That means they will have a B+ rank in their agility and leave the palace quickly in case the situation requires it.
Not only that, each one of them is technically me. That means I can summon all the things from the company. That means I can use the stamp without any problem. Even Jill tells me it will work, and that's another reason why he wants me to use this build.
I shake my head and arrive at the inn where I stay. I go upstairs to my room and take a deep breath.
"We are all as one, and one as all. A shadow with a hundred variations… Zabaniya!"
A second later, ten people appear from my body. All of them have different faces and characteristics. However, all of them are me, and I am them. We are one.
"Scout and stamp. Go to the palace and try the limit."
They disappear without leaving any sound, and I can feel them spread across the city while some run to the palace. With them taking care of the stamping, scouting, and information gathering, I can think of my next move.
Should I only stamp people here and leave this world, or should I take a mission to get more points? There is a generic mission that lets me choose one side of the faction at war and kill as many people in the other faction as possible, and win the war to get points.
I need to ask Jill about this.
I take out my phone and call Jill. I wait for a few seconds before it connects.
"Good afternoon, Agent John. What can I do for you?"
"I need some advice. Should I take a mission from the mission section?"
"Depending on the mission. What kind of mission do you want to take?"
"The mercenary one, under the Generic Section."
"Ah, I know that one. The bonus points are good for a new agent because this mission can only be picked in your starting world. Suikoden is also a perfect world for you because the war will happen no matter what you do, and the participants are not full of powerful players. The only downside is that this mission will take quite a long time to complete. Unlike in the game, you need to wait for the war to start and then join the war."
"So? Should I take it?"
"I don't see the reason why not. In fact, I just got news from a higher-up. They encourage you to take this mission and enter the service of Freyjadour. It looks like this timeline is leaning heavily into the Neutral Ending, where many of the 108 Stars of Destiny die in battle."
"Is that a problem for you guys?"
"Problem? Not really. However, a Good Ending will empower this world and increase the production of runes that we can harvest to give power to our agents. It will bring profit for us."
"Right. So, do you want me to take the [107 Stars of Destiny... Wait! That's not right!] Mission as well?"
"I strongly suggest that, yes. In fact, stamping people under the umbrella of 108 Stars of Destiny will grant you automatic recruitment. That means you will easily get the bonus objectives."
"Perfect. Thank you for your time, Jill."
"Don't mention it. Anything else?"
"Nope! That is all."
"Very well. Happy hunting, Agent."
When the call is done, I open the mission section on my phone and pick two missions. The first is about ensuring the protagonist gets the Best Ending, and the second is mercenary work that makes me work with the protagonist in the upcoming war.
I smile a little when I get 40 points for accepting the mission.
I bought the [Body Defence] with these new points and upgraded it to get immunity for 10 points. Luckily, I got a discount because I possess Hassan of the Hundred Faces, and I changed the price to 8 points. It is not much of a discount, but a discount nonetheless. The next thing I buy is [Mind Defence] to get a massive resistance against all mind control effects. I wince a little because it cost me 25 points for this thing, but it is worth it. I don't want anyone to try to control me through my mind.
I have 11 points left and think for a few seconds about which thing I should buy or save these points. I scroll the app and search for anything that catches my fancy. I can buy something, but I've decided to put it on hold for now. I want to use them in case of an emergency.
With a sigh, I put away my phone. However, something clicked in my head as I put my phone back in my inventory. A new connection appears, and I know the reason why. My clones stamp six people at once.
However, before I can celebrate, I can hear a bell toll in the palace. I can hear havoc happening outside my inn.
"Just what are they doing?!"
