"On your feet," Elena suddenly barked. "No more lazying around."
I chuckled. "Didn't even get to enjoy one full minute of peace."
She rolled her eyes but smiled. We both stood up, and with a sharp nod, she led me outside. Two maids trailed behind us, carrying books and scrolls. The training spot had already been prepared—perfectly arranged, like someone had known I'd finally stop sulking and show up.
A large flat stone served as the base. A list lay atop a table, along with a spellbook, chalk, crystals, candles... all of it waiting for me.
"You've already learned energy levels from Veryon and Lucius," Elena began, voice steady. "With that alone, you're capable of more than you know. A goddess can be both a mage and a prophetess."
"Really?" I asked, my fingers brushing the spellbook's edges.
She nodded firmly. "Really. So let's get straight to business."
We both rose. She turned to me, serious now. "Hold out your hand."
