Chapter 186 - Chapter 186

Cheng Mo and Heiyao exchanged a glance. Si Lu could clearly see the heaviness in both their eyes.

Once, twice—fine, that could be coincidence, maybe just a mistake. But now, it's happened several times. Can you really call that coincidence? A mistake?

No. This isn't random.

As for that eagle?

Cheng Mo had a gut feeling that it was the same eagle they encountered on the very first day they arrived. Even though he only saw it once and hadn't seen much of it afterward, something in his instincts told him—it was that eagle.

The one that glared at Si Lu.

It had to be!

But why had it been following them all this time?

What was the reason?

Cheng Mo couldn't figure it out.

Heiyao's eyes narrowed dangerously. No matter who or what it was—if it wanted to harm his little female, he would never allow it!

That damn eagle? He remembered it.

If he ever saw it again, he definitely wouldn't let it off easy!

Si Lu didn't dwell on it too much.

After all, she hadn't seen it.

Maybe Tata had really just seen wrong?

And besides, she had Heiyao and Cheng Mo by her side—she wasn't the least bit worried or scared!

Actually, Si Lu was a bit curious.

Was there really an eagle watching her? If so, what was its purpose?

Was it truly the same eagle that glared at her before?

Si Lu still wanted to know.

But she felt like, if that eagle really wanted to hurt her, it would've already made a move.

She just couldn't understand what its purpose was.

So Si Lu didn't overthink it. She just shoved the whole issue to the back of her mind.

"Lu Lu, look over there—what's with all the noise? I wonder what everyone's crowding around. Let's go check it out, hehe," Tata said, dragging Si Lu along.

Si Lu let herself be pulled along. Of course, she was curious too.

And boy, the crowd was massive!

That little stall was surrounded on all sides.

Si Lu and Tata stood at the edge, unable to see anything in the middle. Both of them were a little frustrated.

"Everyone, step back a bit! Don't crowd here!" a clear, spirited voice rang out.

Several beastmen looked reluctant to leave. They all glanced at each other, exchanging uncertain looks.

"I say, just what are you trading for this stuff?" one beastman couldn't help but ask.

"As long as you can offer something I like, we can trade," the person replied.

"Alright, beast skins? Food? Fruits? What do you want?" the beastman pressed.

"I'm not lacking any of that," the person said bluntly.

The beastman looked unwilling, but in the end, he turned and walked away.

Some of the other beastmen saw that and, realizing they probably wouldn't get anything either, followed suit and left.

In an instant, the space cleared up.

Si Lu and Tata easily squeezed into the middle.

But just as they did, Si Lu's eyes landed on a stunning sight—a handsome black-haired, black-eyed youth sitting on a rock. In front of him was a decently-sized animal hide, laid out like a mat, covered with rare treasures.

There were pearls—big ones. Colorful stones, including a whole string of radiant, transparent gems that shimmered beautifully.

Just one glance, and you couldn't tear your eyes away!

There were also colorful shells, sea snails, and more.

Basically, all marine treasures. Most of them were things Si Lu had never even seen before.

At that moment, a female beastman spoke up, "Hey, male beastman, I've taken a liking to you. I'll allow you to be my tenth beast-husband. These things will naturally be mine too. I'll give you a bunch of cubs."

Si Lu and Tata both turned their heads to look.

The female beastman wasn't bad looking—her skin was decent, and her features fairly well-proportioned. She lifted her chin proudly, looking down at the young man with smug satisfaction.

Behind her stood several burly male beastmen.

Clearly her other mates.

Of course, their gazes toward the seated youth were anything but friendly.

Si Lu sweatdropped at what she heard.

Wow. She hadn't expected this kind of female beastman to exist in the beast world!

It was her first time encountering one like this.

Who gave her the confidence to talk like that?

The young man didn't even look up. He just smirked mockingly.

"What are you laughing at?" the female beastman asked, confused.

"I'm laughing at how naive you are!"

"You're so ugly, and you still want to become my mate? You're not worthy!" the youth sneered arrogantly.

"Haedongqing, Yingsun Fengxiu!"

Of course not!

So ugly and still wants to be my partner? She's dreaming!

He was the almighty sky ruler—how could he casually take such an ugly female as a mate? If his kin found out, they'd laugh themselves to death!

Tch!

The female beastman's face instantly darkened!

Never in her life had a beastman dared to call her ugly!

She was fuming.

"Hey, did you hear that? He rejected you. Hurry up and leave, don't stand there and block the view," Tata snorted.

Even she, a certified narcissist, couldn't say something like what that female beastman had just said.

This female was seriously shameless.

Tata almost admired her for it!

"You—you... you've pissed me off! Teach her a lesson! Rip her mouth apart!" the female beastman screamed, pointing at Tata furiously.

The male beastmen behind her moved to attack—but were immediately intercepted by Xiong Da, Xiong Er, and Cheng Mo's group!

They weren't idiots. The moment they saw the opposing group's strength, they hesitated.

"You wanna fight?" Xiong Da and Xiong Er's expressions turned cold. They clenched their fists, muscles bulging like a tidal wave. It was downright terrifying.

Even Si Lu was a bit stunned.

Damn!

The aura from Xiong Da and Xiong Er? Scary with a capital S!

Those biceps could scare someone to death!

Heiyao stood behind Si Lu, holding her hand. Meanwhile, Cheng Mo took a spot beside Xiong Da and Xiong Er, clearly showing where his loyalty lay.

Si Lu and Tata were good friends. Since Tata's mates were in trouble, naturally he'd step in to help.

Besides, their side was outnumbered. No way they were letting Tata's partners suffer.

That said, although the other group had five people, their strength was trash.

Cheng Mo instantly assessed their power levels—green tier. All of them.

Seriously? Too weak!

"You guys, uh…" one of the male beastmen turned pale.

There was no helping it—the enemy was too strong. Just standing in front of them gave off crushing pressure and an almost soul-deep fear. No way they could win!

"Lianlian, maybe… we should go. We can't beat them. Their strength is way higher than ours. They're purple tier. We're only green tier. If a fight breaks out, I won't be able to protect you," one of her beast-husbands whispered into her ear.
