"Thank you, Asteralaxia," Ryuk said.
"For sticking by my side, or conviction, when you had the chance to leave it all behind and continue with your own goal. Thank you."
He said, as Aster's eyes flashed before she shook her head.
"I'm just glad to know you're alive. I can feel the guilt leaving, and that's what I've always dreamed of every night since your absence..." she said.
"Well, hopefully, the conviction to help is still there now that I'm not dead..." Ryuk said teasingly, as Aster rolled her eyes.
"Shut up, goof," she shot back, as he chuckled.
The joke softened the heavy emotions in the room, as Aster exhaled deeply.
Ryuk watched her expression brighten back up as she turned to him.
"What about you, Ryuk? How did you spend an entire year in the Trial?"
"And if you don't mind me asking—how did you grow so strong that you could take on an entire army of Endearth on your own?"
