Hikari watched Syndra standing across from the pretty boy as she placed her bet. Several people in the crowd had already started murmuring about how strong this guy supposedly was, but Hikari could tell he was not all that. Even without an inspection, she knew. Besides, she felt like checking his status would have been cheating somehow.
One of the attendants stepped down into the arena and acted as a referee. "The rules are simple. If anyone gets incapacitated or knocked out of this square, they will lose. Try to avoid killing each other if you can."
Syndra nodded and readied two of her daggers. "Let's just get this over with. I've been dying to try these out."
Regulus frowned and unsheathed his sparkling sword. The golden hilt glistened in the sunlight. "As soon as this fight is over, I'll be having the time of my life with that elf."
Kurayami clutched her fist. "Master, can I kill that man when this battle is over?"
