Kael and Helen stared at each other, silence settling over the small clearing by the circular lake beside them.
The White Prime had just survived a near-death battle against the three Ghost Behemechs, and his body was aching with a pain so intense it could lull anyone into an eternal sleep. However, despite everything he was feeling, the beautiful woman before him had awakened a sleeping dragon inside him—one that gave him the strength to forget his pain and exhaustion.
"So, what are we going to do now?" Kael asked, placing his equipment beside him.
"I…" Helen couldn't form the words. She didn't know what to say. The truth was, they were here because she wanted someone by her side—someone to keep her company in the Fissure after her teammates had died. "We're here to rest. Once you can walk, we'll head out to find the Core and trigger the Final Boss Room. Best case scenario, the others have already found it and are waiting for us."
