This allows him to use more attack power without injuring his soul.
All skills require some soul essence to unleash, and as such, if his soul strength isn't strong enough, he wouldn't be able to unleash the attack.
But even if he forces himself and uses it, the chances of injuring his soul are very high. Thankfully, he is at the 11th Tier now and still growing.
