"'Getting up early I decide that today is the day I master water walking. I go down to the creek near our cave and start. First, I accumulate chakra into my feet, then I take a step, and just like I thought I plunge right into the water.' Jaden thinks.
Splash
Jaden gets back up to the mud road trying to start again, but of course he had to be pulled away by the currant again. After 10 minutes of struggling, he managed to get back to his starting point.
'And this was the main problem on why Water Walking would be a bitch and a half to learn. I'm sure in Konoha or Taki this would be fucking easy as to master, but in Ame there's no doubt it's the hardest skill to learn.' Jaden thinks.
'Water walking is all about balance the unpredictability of water and hear that's turned up to 1,000 due to the constant pouring of rain and the natural current never stopping for a second. Making this close to impossible.' Jaden thinks.
Jaden decides to stop complaining about a bit and to try again by gathering chakra to his feet and to plant one foot in the raging rapids. Only to plunge back under water.
'It's been six hours into the boys training. Truly with how many times he's failed without even getting a foot on the water was making Jaden believe his goal was impossible. Making him instead examine what he was doing wrong. Maybe it's too little chakra, after all he has to account for more elements than before. Maybe he needs to mold the chakra into a shape. Maybe he was just unbalanced to begin with.' Jaden thinks.
"UUURRRRR!!?"Jaden scratches his head in frustration as he can't understand the problem.
Jaden spends the next six hours trying a multitude of these theories he's had.
"Jaden! Dinners Ready!" Says Konan who came out with her cute yellow raincoat.
'A full day, a full fucking day and he had nothing to show for it except for an existed body and soaked clothes.' Jaden thinks.
Aaachooo" Jaden sneezes. "Fucking great now I get a fucking cold!"
'Inside Konan passed him a plate of the same dish they've eaten for the past couple of days. Sure the food had a more modern batch of seasoning to it but It still doesn't change he was starting to go crazy eating the same meal for a week now. Its been 1 week since he's met Konan and the two started living with each other here. And its been two since he's came to this world. As they eat Jaden believes that its time.' Jaden thinks, remembering his time here.
"Konan tonight I'm going to unlock your chakra." Jaden says to Konan.
"My chakra?" says a confused girl tilting her head.
"Yes Chakra, it's what ninja's use to help them fight." Jaden says to Konan.
"Wait so your going to train me to be a ninja!?" screams Konan.
"Yes and No. I'm going to teach you the basic skills to defend yourself but becoming a ninja is more than just having chakra. Ninjas are asked to do many things, sometimes terrible things. At the end of the day they'll be forced to kill." Jaden says trying to explain.
'I could visibly see the girl flinch away after I say that. But she needs to hear this. I'm not going to force her into it, no I want her to know what she's getting herself into. Still even if she agrees I won't force her to kill as she's much too young to know what she's agreeing to. Ninja's put their lives on the line and follow the orders of their leader. In this case I'd be the leader sending her on assassination deals.' Jaden thinks.
"Then I'll become a ninja!" Konan says holding her fist tightly by her chest.
"Okay." Jaden say, not caring to get into a long discussion on morality.
"Sit down over their and relax your muscles." Jaden places his hands on her back as he pushes out small amounts of chakra into her body.
"Steady your breathing and calm your mind." Jaden says.
"Focus on the flow of that energy, find it then match the pace." Jaden says.
Jaden and Konan sat their for 10 minutes until the girl naturally found the energy Jaden was talking about. Good.
"Now try focusing it in the palm of your hands." Jaden says.
Looking down the two could see a small blue ember beginning to form
"I did it!" Konan yells.
"I did it!" Konan yells.
"I did it!" Konan yells.
Konan jumps around of her seat to look at me Look Jaden I did it Did you see it?
"Yes, Konan I saw it! congratulations!" Jaden says with a smile.
'Now I can understand why the girl became so dangerous in the future. She has a high amount of chakra for her age and is a natural when it comes to chakra control. In the future I'll train her similarly to what I'm doing now. With any luck she'll become even stronger with me than she was in the original timeline. But my planning can wait for later. Right now, I'm tired.' Jaden says.
"Alright Konan I'm exhausted, I'm going to take a shower first. Make sure to clean up and get ready for bed." Jaden commands while walking away.
"Ok!" The girl says back to me.
2 week time skip
'Yeah, it took a week, a full fucking 2 weeks. But still I managed to get water walking down. Still not to the level I wanted, but this will have to be enough. I'm starting to go crazy staying here and having to worry about being attacked at night. ' Jaden frustratedly begins to scream in his mind.
"Konan pack everything up we're leaving Ame in the morning!" I speak.
"Wait we're leaving? Isn't it a bit soon?" A worried Konan says.
"Of course, we're leaving you already knew that was the plan and not to mention you finished making the pills in your first couple of days. We've only been here because I needed to train my chakra control." Jaden responds while putting on his raincoat.
"I know but.." The girl looks around for something to say
"Look I know your nervous, but we have to do this." I put my hands on her shoulders and look the girl in the eyes.
"Okay." Konan nods her head while looking at me.
"Good." Jaden says
Outside the save Jaden looks at Konan. Okay get on. Jaden bends down to give Konan a piggyback ride.
Huh
"Konan I'm much faster than you and using my chakra I'll be able to easily carry you there." Jaden says.
"Oh Okay." Konan gets on Jaden's back.
"Good now hold on." Jaden responds.
"Huhh- woah!" Konan says while trying to hold on.
Jaden and Konan set off southeast of the Land of Rain, running for three hours straight. Along the way, they had to remain vigilant, evading patrols from Ame shinobi forces, Sand attack squads, and Konoha border units. Fortunately, they encountered no trouble this time, unlike on their previous journey. After the exhausting run, they finally reached the neutral zone between the Land of This and the Land of That.
These two nations had long been neutral in the ongoing wars. Their neutrality stemmed from a complex history of conflict and cooperation that stretched back over 200 years, predating even the Warring States period. Despite countless attempts by outside forces to sway them, neither side had ever been able to decisively overcome the other, leading to a perpetual stalemate. This continuous rivalry turned their lands into a respected, albeit dangerous, battleground.
Another reason these nations avoided involvement in larger conflicts was their reliance on samurai instead of shinobi. Once a birthplace for ninja over two centuries ago, the people of these nations eventually grew disillusioned with the political corruption they believed shinobi brought to their governments. They abolished ninja forces altogether and turned exclusively to samurai. To bolster their martial capabilities, both nations formed alliances with the Land of Iron, a country renowned for its military might and samurai traditions.
The Land of Iron, the largest of the smaller nations, possessed a military strength comparable to that of a hidden village. Its army, led by the formidable Mifune, was feared even by the Kage of the Five Great Nations. While Mifune himself might not match the individual power of a Kage, the Land of Iron's unparalleled training programs allowed it to deploy samurai at a rate three times that of any ninja village's capacity to produce shinobi. Though these samurai were generally less skilled individually than highly trained ninjas, their weapons, enhanced with chakra, were durable, easy to wield, and capable of cutting down chunin-level opponents.
The strength of the Land of Iron lay in its numbers. A single ninja, no matter how powerful, could only eliminate so many enemies before exhaustion set in. Even the legendary Third Raikage, who famously held off an 10,000 army single-handedly, eventually succumbed to sheer numbers. The Land of Iron's massive army capitalized on this principle, boasting the largest military force in the world.
To maintain their influence over the Land of This and the Land of That, the Land of Iron sent samurai families to bolster their defenses. This strategic involvement not only kept these nations stable but also deterred interference from larger powers. Together, these factors cemented the region's status as a neutral zone, respected and feared by all.
With the training I did in the Land of Rain my power greatly improved, even at the age of 8 I can say that my power is at the level of an elite chunin. Only with the involvement of chakra could this be possible. Even if pushed I'm sure I could fight Low level Jonin's like Kurenai to a standstill. I mentioned her but that's mainly because out of the Elite Jonin she's the weakest, but if she used her highest Genjutsu I'd lose for sure. But in Taijutsu I'd hold my own. Just like how a young Itachi managed to fight multiple Anbu level ninjas from root. But still I need to Better refine my fighting as its more of a brawler and not refined, as its mostly based on my transformation. Without it my power is greatly reduced.
Jaden notices trees as he makes it to the border of Land of This. Thinking still Jaden believes he understands that ninja fights are more of rock paper scissors for most people. As only Naruto and other godlike ninjas are able to just bulldoze their way through a fight with pure power. He takes a quick left making it to the border of the country, walking up to the guard.
Name and ID boy. says the gate guard.
My name is Jaden, and here. Handing over my documents from Kusa.
The guard look surprised and straightened his shoulders to give me a salute
Right this way sir! I'm sorry for my rude behavior. As he stepped out the way to let me into the country.
No problem it's hard to tell during these unstable times the difference between friend and foe.
While I hate my bastard of a father and his family it comes in handy to be one of the sons of a daimyo. Before leaving my father made a show of my improved status, gifting me papers to suggest I was highly respected. Even if the respect was faked the papers weren't. With this I can waltz into any small nation or non shinobi village with no trouble at all, the hard part is just making it there alive.
Me and Konan walked around the country, and I have to say for a small fortress its quite the amazing sight to see. We visited Ama-ama An, a family-owned restaurant that's been around for 20 years. Which sold bean jam cakes. I can remember Konan's face lighting up by the sweet taste. The poor girl has probably never tasted anything like it before.
After that we say a sign that read Neta Neta Sushi, which, as the name suggests, produces sushi. Luckily it wasn't too pricey as we managed to eat a buffet worth of tuna. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough to stay at the cheapest inn, so I planned to find a tree to sleep in tonight.
"But then I heard it.'
"Come on! Step right up folks! Participants For the Daimyo's Autumn Elections sign up right here. With the grand prize being 5 million Ryu, a job to work at the Daimyo's court mansion for a year and access to the royal kitchen supplies."
Once I heard the 5 million grand prize, I had to enter for a chance to win the money. I wasn't some renowned chef or anything in my past life, heck I was just a passible self-taught home cook. But I did have one advantage that gave me confidence to competed. I watched Food Wars. So this contest was a good as mine, as I had the power to give people food-orgasms with just a taste. Even if this isn't fully an anime all I need is a slight percentage of this resembling anime and I win.
