Kaguya replied coolly,
"Isshiki was mortally wounded by me long ago. He's been hiding ever since, too afraid to show himself."
"How dare you insult my master — you court death!"
Hearing her words, Momoshiki snapped out of his rage just enough to realize the danger he was in.
According to clan intelligence, Kaguya's power was roughly on par with his own. Now that Kinshiki was dead, facing her alone would already be difficult — not to mention the other unknowns standing by her side.
He had to escape.
Quickly.
Momoshiki prepared to activate his space-time ninjutsu to flee — only to realize that the surrounding space had been forcibly locked.
Mirai spoke in a lazy tone, "Momoshiki, if you submit, I might spare your life."
Momoshiki sneered, "Keep dreaming!"

His face twisted with madness as he hurled the chakra sphere directly at Mirai's chest.
But in the next instant, an overwhelming force immobilized him in midair.
"You want to dance too?"
Mirai's voice was calm, almost bored.
Staring into Mirai's indifferent eyes, Momoshiki couldn't help but mutter in disbelief,
"Th-this... this can't be..."
"How could an inferior being possess such terrifying power?!"
Mirai's brow furrowed slightly. His voice was laced with disdain as he said,
"No... it's you who are now the inferior ones."
The moment his words fell, Momoshiki's body exploded into a bloody mist with a loud "bang."

A voice echoed.
"I'll send word back to the Ōtsutsuki Clan. Once reinforcements arrive, you lowly creatures will all be wiped out!"
Momoshiki's soul form activated a short time-freeze ability, desperately searching for a suitable vessel to plant a Karma seal.
In no time, he locked onto a man with a pale, sinister face — someone whose body seemed particularly well-suited for reincarnation.

Shock flooded Momoshiki's face.
Right now, time should be frozen. Everything should be standing still.
So how was this man moving freely?!
"Wh-what are you?!"
Panic overtook him as Uchiha Mirai said calmly,
"I am a god who walks freely between worlds... and the harbinger of the Ōtsutsuki Clan's destruction."
"I — am the future."
With those words, Uchiha Mirai erased Momoshiki's soul completely.
He possessed the power and had now ascended to the "God" level.
