Chapter 337 - Chapter 337: Rin, I Saw Obito

A month later…

Uchiha Mirai emerged from his secluded training and, in a flash, appeared high above Konohagakure.

His entire aura was completely restrained, making him seem no different from an ordinary person.

This was proof that he had fully mastered the immense power he had gained in such a short period.

"From now on, until Momoshiki and the others descend upon the ninja world, all I need to do is keep strengthening myself."

Mirai murmured to himself.

There were still several years before the original timeline's events would begin, and even more before the Boruto era.

During this time, Mirai had no intention of actively seeking out the Otsutsuki Clan.

With his system allowing unlimited growth of his physical attributes, the smartest move was to lay low and continue developing his strength.

After pondering for a moment, Mirai shifted his focus and instantly returned to his estate.

...

Inside the estate, Tsunade, Kurenai Yuhi, Shizune, and Nohara Rin were gathered around playing cards.

Ever since they stepped down from the Hokage's administrative team, they suddenly found themselves with a lot more free time.

At first, the change was exciting. They indulged in everything they enjoyed without restraint.

But after a while, a sense of emptiness crept in.

Thanks to Mirai's influence, anything they wanted was easily within reach.

Even Tsunade had lost interest in gambling.

No matter the stakes or how many times she lost, she had an endless supply of money.

As she put it, "There's no thrill left in it."

Now, she'd rather stay home and play cards with her friends than waste time at a casino.

Being rich and powerful turned out to be rather dull and uneventful.

"Tsunade, Kurenai… I'm back."

Mirai's voice rang out from behind them. The women immediately looked up.

Seeing him, they all rushed over.

Kurenai's eyes lit up with joy. "Mirai, you're finally back!"

"I heard you've become the Ten-Tails' Jinchuriki. Are you even stronger now?"

Mirai pinched Kurenai's cheek and smiled.

"Of course. Even if the Sage of Six Paths himself were revived, he wouldn't be my match."

Their eyes widened in amazement.

He had surpassed the Sage of Six Paths?!

Tsunade couldn't help but ask, "Mirai, can you handle the Otsutsuki Clan now?"

Mirai gave a reassuring smile and patted his chest.

"Don't worry. I'll protect the ninja world."

Hearing his confident words, the tension in their hearts eased.

Finally, they wouldn't have to live in constant fear of the Otsutsuki.

Mirai then turned his gaze toward Nohara Rin. After a moment of hesitation, he said,

"Rin, I saw Obito."

Rin froze, confusion flashing in her eyes. "Obito?"

Kurenai frowned. "Mirai, Obito died during the Third Great Ninja War. Are you sure you weren't hallucinating?"

"I told you not to push yourself too hard. Maybe you've been under too much pressure for too long and need a break?"

Hearing Kurenai's speculation, Konan and Uchiha Mikoto exchanged concerned looks.

Carrying the burden of the entire ninja world's safety was no small thing. The mental strain alone was unimaginable.

If Mirai had been bottling it up without an outlet, it wouldn't be surprising if it took a toll on him.

They were now seriously considering dragging him away for a mandatory vacation.

Seeing their reactions, Mirai chuckled and lightly flicked Kurenai on the forehead.

"Stop jumping to conclusions. I'm not sick."

"Uchiha Obito didn't die in the Third Great Ninja War. He was saved by Uchiha Madara."

"What?!" Rin and Kurenai were even more bewildered.

Uchiha Madara? How was that possible?

Rin couldn't help but ask, "Mirai, what's going on? Tell us everything."

Tsunade and the others also perked up, curiosity evident on their faces.

Even though they weren't personally acquainted with Obito, their natural curiosity as women made them eager to hear the full story.

They quickly ushered Mirai into a lounge chair, making him comfortable.

Some massaged his shoulders, others rubbed his legs, and someone even fed him fruit…

If any other man saw this, they'd probably die of envy on the spot.

After enjoying their care for a moment, Mirai finally began explaining.

"Rin, back then, your team was on a mission at Kannabi Bridge and was ambushed by Iwagakure ninjas."

"Obito tripped over a tree root while retreating and was crushed under a boulder, right?"

Rin nodded. "That's right."

Mirai continued, "But he didn't actually die."

"Madara saved him."

Rin and Kurenai were completely stunned.

Obito was alive?

Then why hadn't he returned to Konoha all this time?

Tsunade furrowed her brow. "Mirai, Madara was supposed to have died long ago."

The more they listened, the more confused they became.

First Obito, now Madara? If Mirai didn't give them a proper explanation soon, they might start suspecting he really had lost his mind.

Seeing their puzzled expressions, Mirai sighed and started from the very beginning.

"Madara didn't actually die back then. He used the forbidden Sharingan technique, Izanagi, to rewrite reality and survive."

"He then implanted Hashirama's cells into himself, gaining the power of all creation. In his later years, he awakened the Rinnegan."

"Madara's ultimate goal was to become the Ten-Tails' Jinchuriki and cast Infinite Tsukuyomi using the moon, trapping the entire ninja world in an illusion."

"To achieve this, he relied on the husk of the Ten-Tails to prolong his life and searched for a successor."

"During the Third Great Ninja War, he chose Obito."

"That tree root Obito tripped over? That was Madara's doing."

As Mirai finished, the women were left completely dumbfounded.

To them, Madara had always been more of a legend than a real person.

Who would have thought he had lived until the Third Great Ninja War?

Rin's voice trembled slightly. "Mirai… what happened next?"

"Was Obito controlled by Madara?"
