Chapter 437 - Chapter 2: A World Where "Date A Live" Exists

On her ninth transmigration, the girl had more or less gotten used to the dizziness that came with it.

Opening her eyes, the scene before her came into view.

Towering skyscrapers stood in every corner of the city, their transparent glass reflecting the blue sky and white clouds—as well as the myriad facets of urban life.

In a park near the riverside, green leaves swayed gently in the morning breeze. Fragrant flowers released their pleasant aroma. People exercising in the morning bounced across the lawn, creating a vibrant and energetic scene.

Leisurely strollers and morning joggers shared the tranquility of dawn. The river flowed quietly, its surface rippling under the gentle breeze.

In the distance, a bridge connected the two sides of the city, with vehicles streaming across it, forming a dynamic urban landscape.

This was a modern society that the girl was all too familiar with.

At least, it seemed that way at first glance.

"H-Hey... is that... a person?"

"Whoa, is this some kind of special effects show?"

"How is she floating in midair?!"

Just as the girl arrived in this world and began to observe her surroundings, people on the ground had already taken notice of her.

This time, the system had dropped her right in the middle of a public area, giving her no time to react or conceal her presence.

When she heard the crowd discussing her, she looked down and saw that some had already pulled out their phones and were pointing them in her direction.

Unfamiliar with the situation in this world and unwilling to cause a scene, she instinctively activated her spirit power and quickly fled the area.

She left behind a group of people whose jaws were practically unhinged, rubbing their eyes repeatedly to confirm whether they'd just seen a hallucination.

Landing on the top floor of the nearest skyscraper and confirming that there was no one around, the girl finally began to inspect herself.

A petite figure. Small, delicate hands. Just like the Yoshino she had portrayed in the previous world—another loli form.

Her messy, uncombed green hair was topped with a witch's pointed hat adorned with several large pine-colored gemstones. She wore a barely adequate orange-red cloak over her body and a pair of strappy lantern shorts. One long and one short sock, striped in orange and black, wrapped around her calves, and on her feet was a pair of quirky little boots.

Without a doubt, the spirit girl she was playing in this world was the most unique among the ten spirits.

The spirit who controlled illusions—Natsumi Kyouno.

This was a girl with extreme insecurity about her own appearance, to the point that if anyone complimented her looks, she'd find it utterly incomprehensible and take it as sarcasm or mockery. Her mindset was deeply pessimistic and negative.

It was precisely because of this that, before being "captured" by Shido Itsuka, she—longing for recognition and praise—always presented herself with the appearance of a more mature, beautiful, confident, and elegant woman.

For a spirit who could control illusions, this was not a difficult feat at all.

Though the character setting was a bit troublesome, as long as no one in this world knew that the real Natsumi Kyouno was actually a loli, she could continue using the appearance and persona of an elegant older woman, making the act much easier.

For a girl who had already played eight spirit characters—four of which had earned S-rank evaluations—playing the mature version of Natsumi was child's play.

As for why Natsumi Kyouno was considered the most special?

That had to do with her angel—Haniel, the Forgery Witch.

As long as something was hit by the light emitted from Haniel, whether living or non-living, its shape would change.

Turning missiles into candy. Turning humans into puppies. Turning skyscrapers into LEGO blocks. As long as she had enough spirit power, anything was possible.

That ability alone was already incredibly powerful.

But Haniel's most important core—Kaleidoscope—was the true reason Natsumi could be considered the strongest spirit.

As long as she willed it, she could have Haniel transform into the angels of other spirits!

Zafkiel, Gabriel, Rasiel…

Though the duplicated angels would be slightly weaker than the originals, their full abilities remained intact. A bit of power loss wasn't a big deal.

Unfortunately, in the original story, Natsumi Kyouno mindset wasn't particularly mature. She had no clear goal or mission and wasn't good at combat. As a result, despite possessing one of the most broken angels in the entire series, her battle record was far from impressive.

In terms of status within the story, she was pretty much on the same level as Miku Izayoi—both of them practically banned by Tachibana writing team.

Just as the girl was feeling a bit regretful, the system finally popped up.

The girl was just about to scan the system screen quickly—

But when she saw which world she had transmigrated into, she suddenly felt a foreboding chill.

Then she looked again at Side Quest 1—and that ominous feeling only intensified.

"What does it mean that the impersonator must not be suspected by the Creators?

How would they even know I'm just playing Natsumi Kyouno?

No—more importantly, how do they even know who Natsumi Kyouno is?!"

"Haniel!"

At that moment, the girl focused her thoughts, and a broom adorned with tiny demon wings and pale green gems appeared in her hand.

Immediately, she activated Kaleidoscope. Haniel turned into a white beam of light and, under her mentally direction, gradually transformed into the shape of a book.

In the blink of an eye, Rasiel, Tome of Revelation, appeared in her hand.

Grabbing the pen of transcription, she immediately wrote her question on Rasiel's search page:

[Does the work "Date A Live" exist in this world?]

As soon as she finished the final stroke, Rasiel dutifully gave her an answer that made her feel as if she had been struck by lightning.

[It exists.]

"So that means… all the otakus in this world know that Natsumi Kyouno is actually a loli?!"

Upon receiving the answer, the girl let out a scream of despair.

"This time... I'm really in trouble."
