Origami Tobiichi left the palace.
The moment she stepped outside the main gates, she saw Azril waiting there for her.
Likewise, Azril saw Origami Tobiichi returning safely.
At that moment, she had no choice but to believe that this strange lifeform was indeed one of her own kind—and more than that, a special individual secretly created by their creator.
"Sorry nya~ I doubted you before nya~"
With the last shred of doubt in her heart vanishing, Azril returned to her usual cheerful expression.
With how fast she could change expressions, it wasn't hard to believe she had a split personality.
But Origami Tobiichi wasn't angry about what happened before.
After all, Azril suspicion wasn't baseless. Origami Tobiichi wasn't a real Flügel.
But there was no point talking about that now.
Having met with Artosh and returned safely, she had, in effect, received the personal acknowledgment of the God of War. From now on, even if she were to say she wasn't a Flügel, no one would believe her.
"It's fine. I didn't take it personally."
"Really nya?"
Origami Tobiichi didn't linger on the topic.
With a simple thought, a pure white feather appeared before her.
"This is a token from the War God. You should know what it represents," Origami Tobiichi declared. "Starting today, I am also a member of the Eighteen Wings Council."
"...Eh?"
When she saw the feather appear, Azril froze for a moment. "You want to join the Eighteen Wings Council? Why?"
"It's part of a secret mission. You don't need to know."
"Ugh... fine."
Azril was finding it harder and harder to understand this girl.
Originally, she thought the two individuals who garnered the most attention from Artosh among the Flügel were herself—the original and most perfect prototype—and Jibril, the flawed extra prototype.
But now it seemed that the one Artosh paid the most attention to was perhaps this special individual standing before her.
Created and immediately given a secret mission, never having met any of her kin, acting alone all this time.
And now, having finally returned, she'd immediately been elevated to the highest power structure of the Flügel...
If given a little more time, even her position as Chairman might be overtaken.
Azril shook her head, brushing away such chaotic thoughts.
She still believed Father loved her.
She had led the Flügel into countless wars for tens of thousands of years—shed blood for the War God, earned countless merits. To be replaced by someone who popped out of nowhere? That was absurd.
"If you're joining the Eighteen Wings Council, then someone has to step down," Azril said. "Did Father mention who that person is?"
"No, no one needs to step down," Origami Tobiichi replied calmly. "I'm joining as the Chairman Candidate."
"Ha... Chairman Candidate nya..."
Azril expression immediately grew complicated. She hesitantly asked, "So basically, you're here to replace me at any moment?"
"No. You're my senior. I don't believe anyone could do a better job than you."
Origami Tobiichi shook her head and explained, "Chairman Candidate is just a title. The position is between Chairman and regular member. As long as you're capable of leading the Flügel, I will always remain just a candidate."
"Oh oh! That's great nya!"
With that reassurance, Azril finally relaxed.
For a moment, she had feared that her beloved father was planning to abandon her.
Looking at Azril face—where everything was written clearly—Origami Tobiichi couldn't help but feel a little pity.
In truth, Artosh was planning to abandon her.
After Origami Tobiichi requested to join the Eighteen Wings Council to carry out her plan more smoothly, Artosh had simply waved his hand and was ready to dismiss Azril—installing Origami Tobiichi as the new Chairman.
Fatherly love may have existed, but it wasn't much.
However, Origami herself had rejected the idea.
Becoming the actual leader of the Flügel held no benefit for her. She had no intention of leading a bunch of bloodthirsty, war-hungry death angels.
Besides, she would be leaving Avant Heim soon. To complete her side mission, she was never going to stay and manage the Flügel.
Her true reason for joining the Eighteen Wings Council was simply to gain access to high-level information—the actions and strategies of the upper leadership.
In short, she just wanted to be a double agent.
If she could put that intelligence to good use, it would greatly help in completing her side mission.
Afterward, the two of them retraced their steps and returned to the central hall of Avant Heim—the Hall of the Eighteen Wings Council.
"Eh? When did you two leave?"
As they arrived, they were spotted by Jibril, who was still outside waiting after being shoved out by Azril earlier.
The two of them had no intention of hiding anything, and straightforwardly told Jibril everything that had just happened.
And so, the mystery behind Origami Tobiichi identity was finally revealed.
"Anyway, that matter is resolved. Starting today, this girl—"
Azril was about to summarize things, but suddenly realized—she didn't even know the other person's name. Turning her head, she asked, "By the way, what's your name?"
"Origami Tobiichi."
"Origami... Origami Tobiichi..." Azril repeated the name a few times. "The pronunciation is so weird. Is that really a name?"
"Yes. I'm a special individual, so my name is also special."
"Oh, I see." Azril accepted the explanation without a hitch. "Well then, starting today, Origami Tobiichi officially returns to the Flügel as a member of the Eighteen Wings Council. I'll take you on a tour around Avant Heim later, so you can get familiar with the place."
"Don't you have work to do? Let me do it instead!" Jibril volunteered excitedly. "I'm free! I have plenty of time!"
Seeing Jibril still full of enthusiasm, Origami Tobiichi and Azril were both puzzled.
It was easy to understand why Jibril had clung to Origami before her identity was revealed—she was curious.
But now that her identity had been clarified, why was she still sticking around?
"I think Azril is better suited as a guide..."
Origami Tobiichi tried to politely refuse.
"Come with me!"
Whether Jibril understood that was a rejection or not, she grabbed Origami Tobiichi hand anyway.
Then, activating Sky Shift, the two vanished on the spot.
"This is so unfair. Little Origami comes back and not only becomes the Chairman Candidate, even little Jibril likes her so much."
Azril let out a sour sigh and walked into the hall.
"Is this what they call mutual sympathy between a special prototype and an extra prototype? I'm so jealous."
