In the cultivation world, respect and status originate from strength, with a hierarchy more stringent than that of ritual teachings. After all, rules take a process to kill, while the strong only need to blink to kill, without the need for any external communication.
The great achievement of the Daoist Sect lies not in ruling the world, nor does the great virtue of an Immortal lie in relieving suffering, but in establishing rules, achieving a common understanding among all the powerful, and restraining their might.
Even though this constraint might be superficial, the strong still have countless ways to kill; yet, this first step is truly rare.
