Katari pulled on the metal bar slightly, opening the already unlocked gate. As someone who Kael had already given a level of privilege within the pyramid, Katari was able to open most doors she laid her hands on.
The cage gate opened slowly, Katari intentionally took her time to open it so as to tap into the gut feeling of dread within Isaiah.
For Isaiah, it felt like every second was an eternity. The gate was finally opened outward.
Katari stepped into the medium-sized cage used for captivating creatures like Isaiah. The cage was small, it was enough for someone like Kael to stand upright but not enough to move around easily.
The whole cage was about five feet wide, just enough space for Isaiah to feel comfortable sitting on the floor.
Seeing Katari moving toward him, Isaiah pressed his back harder on the wall. He wished more than anything for his powers to come back so that he could disappear from here.
But no matter how he tried, he couldn't summon his powers.
